Today marks the twentieth anniversary of the death of one of the great English singers. She had a decent career but she’ll always be best known for her duet with The Pogues on Fairytale of New York. I’ve heard that song god knows how many times but every time her vocal kicks in it still gives me a bit of a shiver. She was killed when a speedboat hit her at high speed and her last act was to push her son out of the way and to give her life for his. She never got true justice and was taken far too early. RIP

The original which imo is superior to the Tracy Ullman cover.

"They Don't Know" is pure pop perfection.
This is a fun one, and I'm fairly sure Billy Bremner of Rockpile is on guitar.
