Shinnok in Mortal Kombat 4 --- but that game was disappointing so why would the final boss be any different

Red Dead Redemption: playing as Jack isn't great to begin with, but the hunting down of Edgar Ross just feels tacked on, a point driven home by the fact that he, his wife, and his brother are supposedly on vacation in a run down shack. Would it have been too much to ask to drop a nice log cabin in for the epilogue? Surprised I'm the first to say this Mass Effect 3. The last level itself is really damn satisfying, up until the Catalyst. And still, almost nine years later and I've still yet to see any good suggestions as to how to make it work.

The Final Fantasy 7 Remake was disappointing with its final boss fight, in that the game had like five of them in a row.

That zombie game where there are super tough zombies at night.
Good game. End boss was a crappy quick time event.
I think Shadows of Mordor also had a crap quick time event boss

The NES Wolverine game, The kicker? There were no bosses in the game except at the very end when you face first Magneto and then Sabretooth AND THEY ARE BOTH DISAPOINTING AND AWFUL. they both deserved better boss battles then what LJN gave them

Half-Life. Xen sucked balls anyway, but the final boss was especially terrible.

After you get Sid in Final Fantasy Tactics. Getting Cid is the endgame of that game A lot of Final Fantasies have lame final bosses I only played XV on launch so I didn’t have all that supplementary stuff to fill in all those huge gaps in the story so Ardyn was a huge disappointment to me. I didn’t really know his story, it was insanely easy and the volume was so off I couldn’t hear a word he was saying during the battle Adamantoise was my endgame I must say Skyrim too, because Alduin didn’t feel like a final boss at all. The vampire in the Dawnguard DLC was much more satisfying.

I'd say Breath of the Wild has a pretty weak endgame. It's easy to skip basically the entirety of Hyrule Castle, and Ganon himself is a pushover, especially if you've done all of the Divine Beasts first.

Pretty much all Bowser fights are pretty damn lame. I think the last stage of his Galaxy 2 fight deserves special mention. He's giant, you have this super dramatic chanting music kick in, they have this cool falling through space thing going on... And I don't even know if it's possible to take damage in that fight without it being deliberate and you usually only hear about 30 seconds of the song before he's beaten. Guess at least they put the song in Smash Bros. so you can have a decent fight against him to it somewhere?

Tales of Symphonia's final battle with Yggdrasil is just kind of there. One fight in his normal form, and then this final form that's less challenging than the first fight, and isn't intimidating in the slightest.

You go all the way to 100% completion on Spyro 3, you do more of your favorite mini games in bigger modes, you have something hinted at behind the final door...
It's just the Sorceress in a UFO fight that ends up as basically the same fight as Ripto phase 3 in the last game

To be fair, I haven’t played a Mario game between 64 and Run and not one since, but I think my point remains.

Axiom Verge. I had far more trouble with several other bosses and one entire sequence than I did with the end boss. the original Borderlands 1 not the remaster or whatever. You go through all this build up and hearing all the stories of this ancient civilization and all of that and thinking okay we have spent this entire game getting all these fantastic guns and thinking you are gonna get this spectacle of an all out war with all types of crazy weapons you can loot off the final boss. Only to be met with a single stationary monster who poses absoloutley no threat other than being a bullet sponge and drops jack and shit for loot. I remember one of the big points of the remaster was that the Destroyer battle would be redone to not be so damn lame. Speaking of Borderlands, the Destroyer, and lame, Tyreen the Destroyer! Prob'ly because I was overleveled, but that boss fight (especially when compared to the stuff along the way) was pretty easy.

Pokemon X and Y had a ridiculously easy Elite 4 and then had literally no post game other than an extra town.
Considering they were the first Pokemon games on the 3DS and followed Black 2 and White 2, which had probably the best post games of any Pokemon game, it was very disappointing.

Honestly, it's the Northern Crater and Sephiroth, for me. Northern Crater is just bland. Not much else to say about that. I mean, just compare it to Ultimecia's Castle or Memoria, etc. I know most people love the Sephiroth battle, but I personally always hated it. For one, he's way too easy. FFVII is pretty easy now that I'm older, but I struggled with the game when I was young. That is, except for Sephiroth. But the worst thing about the battle is the supernova attack. A five-minute attack that he spams, AND it can't even kill you. Wtf! To top it all off, FFVII's ending sucked. Wow! I love FFVII, but disc 3 sucked (I think disc 3 starts at Northern Crater). =(

At least there's precedent with how none of the boss fights in that game are good. Unless you want to call the Scarecrow segments fights I guess. It's a problem across like all of hte Arkham games too... I think the Non-Canon Origins had the best boss fights out of all of them... Mr Freeze would like to disagree with you, that boss fight in City was amazing.
