Does anybody feel this gimmick was created for the sole purpose of satire, due the topical events that were transpiring over the summer in cities like Seattle and Portland? But once the civil unrest started to die down, the WWE had no direction on where to do with the gimmick. That's the pitfall with politically influenced gimmicks. There's no where to go with them any further.

Considering, as I said before, the walkout storyline of 2011 was pretty much a direct reference to the Occupy movement of the time, so much so Vince literally referenced Occupy Wall Street onscreen before the roster “came back”...yeah, I’d say it pretty much was their attempt at being relevant.

Hurt Business was a pretty clear BLM reaction too (which gross AF that they're heels, but I digress), but they've managed to turn it into its own thing pretty decently. So maybe there's some hope that there's some gold to find within the mountain of crap.

It was a rib on those looters at the beginning of Lockdown
Then they didn't know what to do with it so they were like "Oh yeah. We never revealed that hacker on Smackdown... I guess we'll say it was Ali all this time"
Honestly, why this company doesn't plan out storylines with a beginning and an end is beyond me.

Ehhhh...that seems like a stretch considering MVP and Lashley have worked together before and wanted to again, and the whole Hurt Business thing seems like MVP's baby.

I'm not questioning MVP's motivations over it.
