I don’t have any one in particular, but as a general rule I hate any cover that turns a festive 3 minutes into a six minute funeral dirge because the singer believes that stretching out every single word of the song makes it more passionate. R&B singers are especially bad about this.
I don’t know who was singing because I only caught the tail end of it, but the song that got me to make this thread was a version of All I Want For Christmas Is You that ended with “Aaaaaaaallllll iiiiiii waaaaant for Chrrrrrrrriiiiistmaaaaaaaaaaaas...........................Iiiiiiiiiiiiiis YOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUU!”
Awful.

It's a cover, sooooooooo...
SANTA BABY BY MADONNA.
Eartha Kitt apparently made a comment when performing it, saying "I used to enjoy this song...then Madonna came along!" Or words to that effect.
(But really, any SB pales in comparison to EK's)

I thought Buble did a decent cover of it. Every other attempt I've heard is pure ass. I nominate John Legend's cover of Baby it's Cold outside. It's got new....safe lyrics for the times and I completely understand what they were going for given the creep factor of the original, but.....nah. I'm all set

Sounds like an SNL parody or a similar spoof.

Anything by Michael Buble. Robbie Williams and Jamie Cullum butchering Merry Xmas Everybody by Slade. Any Band Aid that isn’t the original.

Gotta be Mariah Carey. I can't stand her Christmas songs.

I did like her version of "Joy to the World" having an interpolation of the Three Dog Night song of the same name in it. However, I can't say that I like how that song had become a Christmas song in car commercials and JC Penney commercials.
