13 in a row for Mansoor now. Strongest booked wrestler of 2020. Even moreso than the current WWE Champ.

13 in a row for Mansoor now. Strongest booked wrestler of 2020. Even moreso than the current WWE Champ. For what it's worth, McIntyre strung together 16 in a row earlier this year. But he ain't undefeated this year (34-5-2) like Mansoor (10-0-0). Mansoor's winning streak actually carries over from last year.

An amazing Smackdown except for one segment. It sucks that since it was a holiday, not that many people will watch the show, especially since it was taped and people may have read the spoilers. That’s why I don’t care about spoilers. I still want to watch the show even if I know the results. Also, it sucked that the NFL went over time, so Smackdown started a few minutes late & went past 10, so if people will watch it on DVR, they will miss the end of the show. The Universal Championship Steel Cage Match between Kevin Owens & Roman Reigns was an awesome match to kick off Smackdown, even with Jey Uso’s interference. The Women’s Tag Team Championship Triple Threat Elimination Match between Asuka & Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair, & Bayley & Carmella was excellent. The Street Profits & Sami Zayn segment was the first segment of Smackdown that I didn’t like. I did like Daniel Bryan getting attacked by Jey Uso. Bryan VS Uso was an excellent match. Awesome Daniel Bryan already announcing his entry in the Royal Rumble, though I would like to see people earn a spot & qualify to be in the Rumble. Sami Zayn’s promo was good & Bryan’s response was hilarious. The Intercontinental Championship Lumberjack Match between Big E & Sami Zayn was fun and I loved that they had a few Raw Wrestlers (The Lucha House Party, Drew Gulak, & Akira Tozawa) as Lumberjacks. I had time to watch 205 Live and it was excellent as well, with 2 fun matches in Samir Singh VS Chase Parker and Mansoor VS Raul Mendoza.
Here are the Facts, & Stats for Smackdown: - This was the 4th time that Smackdown aired on Christmas after 2003, 2009, & 2018, & was the most Title Matches on Smackdown since a Tag Team & Universal Title Match on October 16 - Kevin Owens VS Roman Reigns was the 12th Universal Title Match of 2020, the 1st since TLC on December 20, & 1st on Smackdown since Reigns def Braun Strowman on October 16, the 11th Steel Cage Match of 2020, the 1st since NXT Takeover War Games on December 4, the 1st for WWE proper since Hell In A Cell on October 25, & 1st on Smackdown since Alexa Bliss VS Becky Lynch for the Women’s Title on January 17, 2017, the 2nd Universal Title Steel Cage Match in WWE History & 1st since Brock Lesnar def Reigns at the Greatest Royal Rumble on April 27, 2018, both Owens & Reigns’ 1st Smackdown since December 4, Owens’ 1st opener since October 30, & Reigns’ 1st opener since January 23, was Reigns’ 6th Universal Title Defense, so if he would have lost, he would have the 1st Universal Champ to lose in 6 Defenses, as of Smackdown, Reigns’ Universal Title Reign has lasted 117 Days, giving him the 6th Longest Reign of All-Time, on Sunday, he will beat Bray Wyatt’s 119 Days (10/31/19 – 2/27/20) to become the 5th Longest Reign of All-Time, was the 11th 1-on-1 Match between Owens & Reigns, with their 1st match taking place on Smackdown on October 29, 2015, which was won by Reigns by Count Out, & their last match taking place at TLC on December 20, 2020, which was won Reigns, so in their now 11 matches, Owens has won 4 times & Reigns has won 7 times, & was the 4th time that they wrestled each other for the Universal Championship, with Owens winning the first 2 times & Reigns winning the last 2 matches, the 1st match since Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross VS The Kabuki Warriors at WrestleMania on April 4 & Smackdown on April 10 to take place on PPV & Smackdown in the same week & 1st to be re-matched from TLC, was Reigns’ 5th Steel Cage Match in his Career & 1st since he def King Corbin at Super Showdown on February 27, giving him a record of 3-2-0 & was Owens’ 3rd Cage Match & 1st since he defeated Braun Strowman at Extreme Rules on July 15, 2018, & was the 2nd time that Owens & Reigns wrestled each other in a Steel Cage Match with Reigns winning both times - Asuka & Charlotte Flair VS Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair VS Bayley & Carmella was the 15th Women’s Tag Team Championship Match of 2020, 1st since TLC on December 20, & 1st on Smackdown since Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax def Sasha Banks & Bayley on September 4, the 46th Triple Threat Match of 2020, 2nd one this week after TLC on December 20, & 1st on Smackdown since November 6, the 10th Elimination Match of 2020, the 1st since Survivor Series on November 22, & 1st on Smackdown since a Tag Team Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match on December 6, 2019, the 1st time since October 23 & 30 that Belair wrestled 2 weeks in a row on Smackdown, the 1st time since July 13 & 20 that Bayley wrestled 2 weeks in a row on Smackdown, Banks & Carmella’s 1st Smackdown since December 11, Asuka’s 1st Smackdown since she won a Battle Royal on August 14, Flair’s 1st Smackdown since she lost to Bayley on May 22 & they were the 1st since Drew McIntyre on November 9 & 13 to wrestle on Raw & Smackdown in the same week, was Asuka & Flair’s 1st Women’s Tag Team Titles Defense, so if they would have lost they would have been the 1st ever Champions to lose in their 1st Defense & their 5 Days as Champion is the Shortest Reign of All-Time, & was the 1st time that Bayley & Carmella have teamed up since they lost to Eva Marie & Nia Jax on NXT on February 24, 2016 - Daniel Bryan VS Jey Uso was both Bryan & Uso’s 1st Smackdown since December 4, & was a re-match of Smackdown on November 20, which was also won by Bryan, & was Bryan’s last Singles win before his win here - Big E VS Sami Zayn was the 14th Intercontinental Championship Match of 2020 & 1st since Smackdown on November 13 & the 2nd Lumberjack Match of 2020 & 1st since Raw on August 24, & 1st on Smackdown since Elias defeated R-Truth to win the 24/7 Title on June 4, 2019, the 4th Intercontinental Title Lumberjack Match in WWE History, the 1st since Dean Ambrose VS The Miz on January 24, 2017, both E & Zayn’s 2nd Lumberjack Match in their career, & their 1st since Zayn & Kevin Owens def E & Kofi Kingston on November 21, 2017, both E & Zayn’s 1st Smackdown since December 11 which was their last match against each other, with Zayn winning, so they each have won 1 match, was E’s 1st main event since August 28 & Zayn’s 1st main event since October 2, was Zayn’s 3rd Intercontinental Title Defense, making him the 2nd Champion in a row after Jeff Hardy who lost to Zayn at Clash of Champions on September 27 to lose in their 3rd Defense, as of Smackdown, Zayn’s Intercontinental Title Reign lasted 89 Days, making him the 1st IC Champion to lose in 89 Days & was his Longest Intercontinental Title Reign, as his 1st Reign lasted 65 Days (3/8/20 – 5/12/20), was the 6th Intercontinental Title Change of 2020, the 1st since Zayn defeated Jeff Hardy & AJ Styles in a Ladder Match at Clash of Champions on September 27, & was the 179th of All-Time, the 1st Intercontinental Title Change in a Lumberjack Match since Shawn Michaels defeated Jeff Jarrett at In Your House on July 23, 1995, & it began E’s 2nd Intercontinental Title Reign, making him the 3rd Champion in a row to be a 2-Time Intercontinental Champion, marking 2428 Days between his Reigns, as his last Reign ended on May 4, 2014, which is the 4th Longest Gap between Reigns after Jeff Hardy (4548 Days, 3/10/08 – 8/21/20), Christian (3163 Days, 9/23/03-5/20/12), & William Regal (2431 Days, 3/17/02-11/10/08) - This was the 1st Smackdown since November 6 that Dolph Ziggler didn’t wrestle ending a 7 week streak, which would have been his most consecutive weeks on Smackdown since he competed 8 weeks in a row (11/7, 11/14, 11/21, 11/28, 12/5, 12/12, & 12/16/14) Since this is the final Smackdown of 2020, Roman Reigns, Sasha Banks, Bayley, & Daniel Bryan were the only wrestlers to wrestle on both the 1st & last Smackdown of 2020 & Smackdown’s Total Matches of 2020 will end at 224 Matches
Here are the Facts & Stats for 205 Live: - Samir Singh VS Chase Parker was the 1st time in his career that Singh wrestled 4 weeks in a row on 205 Live, his 4th week in a row in the 205 Live opener, & was his 1st Singles Match since he lost to Tyler Breeze on February 21, the 1st time since September 4 & 11 that Parker wrestled 2 weeks in a row on 205 Live, & his 2nd week in a row in the 205 Live opener, & his 1st Singles Match since he lost to Tony Nese on July 17, & was Parker’s 1st ever Singles win in his WWE Career - Mansoor VS Raul Mendoza was Mansoor’s 1st 205 Live match since November 6 & his 1st main event since October 30 & was Mendoza’s 1st 205 Live Match & main event since December 11 & his 1st Singles Match since he lost to Curt Stallion on November 27 - Samir Singh was the only wrestler to wrestle on both the 1st & last 205 Lives of 2020 & 205 Live’s Total Matches of 2020 will be 105 Matches

He’s weirdly now ending 2020 with an unbeaten record, which is crazy to think about.

Something I want to see now: a heel champion having a confetti celebration after every successful title defense, even after a DQ or countout.

That feels very high.

I'm surprised we haven't seen it yet. That honestly could’ve worked so well with Sami’s current gimmick, so much that the tables getting turned on him would be even more poetic.
