I still haven’t seen it. I kept telling myself I’d get around to it. But I just don’t care enough about the story or characters to actually do it. Maybe I’ll catch it on TNT in a couple of years.

I really feel like Disney’s strategy for the Star Wars sequel trilogy was
7: Prove that the people involved GET what fans love about SW 8: Subvert expectations 9: Close out the series in a way that leaves the future wide open
Thing is, while I loved the hell out of TLJ, a *lot* of very vocal fans did not. So Disney kind of backpedaled on a whole lot of what happened in TLJ with RoS. And it was done in a way that didn’t seem to really please either the fans who loved TLJ or the fans who hated it.
I didn’t hate RoS. In fact, there some parts of it I really liked. But, I don’t know. TFA and TLJ both felt like they were movies with something to say. I didn’t get that from Rise of Skywalker.
And I’m not loving how TLJ made me excited for the future of Star Wars while Rise of Skywalker’s aftermath seems to be a whole lot of glorified prequels. Unless I’m mistaken, ALL of the SW projects that have been announced take place before the sequel trilogy.
Then again, I with all the different awesome content and merch available, I think now may be the best time to be a Star Wars fan.

Subverting expectations for the sake of subverting expectations is just the laziest.

Subverting expectations for the sake of subverting expectations is just the laziest. But they will never see it coming bro. Think of the ratings bro.
