They should honestly bump New Years' Smash Night 1 a week and just make Wednesday's Dynamite a loving tribute to a friend. Honestly, just have night two be the event itself.

I hope people don’t mind, I’m going to use this as an opportunity to put one of my favorite matches of his here. Sure, a lot of it has been marred by this sucky year but if there was a match that made people notice how good Brodie (and Claudio) at the time could be...this was it. Anyone have any others, or even BTE clips, feel free. I’m just trying to cope with this somehow. first thing I usually think of is this. Such a badass sleazy heel move.

This is terrible. People have always had nothing but nice things to say about him and his career was going great. I'm at a loss for words.

Dude came off as so lovely, kind, and funny in AEW's podcast. I literally ended WW1984 seconds before seeing the news. To go from the warm and hopeful tone of that film to this hurts physically.

Clicked on this thinking it was some tasteless angle but...what in the actual f***? What happened? This is so out of left field. One of the best big men to come along in a very long time who was only just starting to be used to his full potential. RIP Brodie, Harper, Jon...man, I just don't know what to say.

This sucks. I don't watch much AEW but as a Wyatt Family mark, I was a fan of his and was really hoping he would succeed in AEW. I don't really know what else to say. This has me really bummed out at the moment.

Not surprisingly all of Wrestling Twitter is talking about this and are absolutely shocked... This might be the most shocking non suicide or drug related death in wrestling since Eddie Guerrero Shad this year too Just more so hits home cause Brodie was still active and was going to be a big time player in AEW or at the very least a featured face you associated with the promotion

His entire feud with Donst was this really fun underdog story where it did the job of making him look good in defeat.

I don't know when the next AEW live show is, but they have to pump the brakes on any angles and make it a tribute show. Give everyone a chance to breathe and mourn their friend in their own way.

f***. This one hurts. I was a mark for Big Rig on the indies, and was so happy for him getting some shine after being wasted in WWE.
RIP big man.

I don't watch much AEW, but based on what I'm reading here, he was gone for a while without much explanation as if something was wrong and they were being tightlipped about it?
