Sad day for all of the wrestling world, he worked a lot of places and made friends. Waiting on WWE's official statement, have they said anything yet? Nothing official, some (like Stephanie) have said things on a personal level but the WWE itself has not put out a RIP thing. My guess it's more that it's 8:30pm the day after Christmas and no one is working

It's not certain but the feeling is they were trying to respect him and his families privacy. Everyone figured he had lingering injuries he was rehabbing but nothing like this was even hinted at. Yea, from what I saw it seems like some of the insiders knew a few weeks ago that he was sick and it was serious but they obviously respected the family privacy hoping for better news Sadly that all makes way more sense then it did even a day ago.

I'm trying not to cry reading through wrestling twitter right now.
Since I was like 8 when Eddie died, and wasn't allowed to watch wrestling yet, this is my first experience with an active wrestler of whom I was a huge fan dying unexpectedly.
It f***ing hurts. Everything hurts right now.

If there's a wrestling death that has hit me harder than this and Hana Kimura's did, I can't think of it. I'm shaking.
He seemed like such a devoted family man, glowing when he'd talk about his family in interviews. He loved them, and they loved him.
41 is too f***ing young.

Yea, from the little we know this seems like something that came suddenly Unless he had an illness like Chadwick Boseman that people didn't know about until he passed away

Bray is going to do something really cool for his friend Brodie the whenever he's on screen. No idea what it will be, but it will be special.

This is the strangest shit, I figured something was up, but not to this extent. There are a couple of terrifying lung conditions that can take a man that quickly, but it's just like... even more so than Eddie or Benoit (Heart attacks and murders just "happen") to go from being in a gruelling 20+ minute match to dead of a lung condition inside three months is jarring

It sort of sucks in a way when one of the only ways the business can be united is when someone they loved passes away but it sort of shows how much the dude is loved when there’s just an outpouring from people he worked with or even watched his matches.
But then as been said over and over again, just shows how much people loved the guy.

I don't know what to say. I'm stunned. I figured he was selling injuries from the dog collar match, which is why he was off tv. I really loved his work in AEW. I feel bad for his friends and family. RIP

The first time I saw Brodie/Luke/Jon wrestle was almost 13 years ago to the day at my first 2CW show. He was taking on John Walters in a match where you could just tell he had "it". Was there for his last 2CW show and most of those in-between. Was happy for him when he got the call for WWE and was super excited to see him get the reaction when AEW came to Rochester.
This is one that is beyond devastating. I feel for his family, his friends, and all the people who knew him. Rest easy Big Rig, you deserve it.

Started watching his episode of AEW Unrestricted a few minutes ago. He talked about how the dog collar match took a lot out of him and it sounded like he assumed that he was just having a hard time recovering from it. I guess whatever issue he had wasn't known until after that match. Absolute loss.
