It's a match where people come out one at a time, and at the end you could have totally different people than when it began. Also, it was for a title shot. You know, the whole point of the Rumble. The rules and concepts are completely different. One is a battle royal with timed entrants. The other is just a series of one-on-one matches. Itβs more similar in concept to the Elimination Chamber (which is a combination of a gauntlet and a Rumble). If you are convinced they are nothing alike, then nothing I say will convince you otherwise. And thats okay.

Has anything been mentioned about how they intend to run two Rumble matches, while adhering to safety protocols, in the wake of yet another outbreak on their watch?

Has anything been mentioned about how they intend to run two Rumble matches, while adhering to safety protocols, in the wake of yet another outbreak on their watch? They have had Battle Royals in the Covid Era with 15 or more people in the ring at one time. They can do 2 Rumbles. It's not like 30 people will be in the ring at once. Everyone is tested anyway.

They've booked empty Rumbles before. Last year's had Brock Lesnar eliminate 13 guys in a row, basically throwing them out when they came in and waiting for the next guy. 2010's Rumble was pretty empty; no one past Number 19 lasted over 8 minutes. The most number of men in the ring at 1 time in the 2002's Rumble was 6, and that was only like 3 times during the match. The 1999 Rumble was literally empty TWICE!!!! It's been done before, and it can be done again.

Iβd like to see a mini Rumble on smackdown or Raw with 5 guys from each of the brands to battle it out for the last spot available in the Rumble. Would be an interesting little twist.

Eh, it's better to try something like in 2018 where people were laid out around the ringside area and people can still wrestle and do stuff rather than doing empty ring stuff again.

I agree, although... they had a lumberjack match three weeks ago and a fatal four way tag in the recent past, so if they stick to a limit of 8-9 in the ring thats just typical Rumble. Most in ring per Rumble 1989 - 8 1990 - 8 1991 - 11 1992 - 10 1993 - 9 1994 - 14 1995 - 12 1996 - 10 1997 - 10 1998 - 13 1999 - 9 (with AUstin/Vince "still in") 2000 - 10 2001 - 9 2002 - 6 2003 - 13 2004 - 10 2005 - 10 2006 - 13 2007 - 12 2008 - 13 2009 - 15 2010 - 9 2011 - 9 2012 - 9 2013 - 12 2014 - 11 2015 - 10 2016 - 9 2017 - 13 (thanks to that 14-22 slot) 2018 - 11 2019 - 9 2020 - 8 (at number 30, thanks to 27-30) womens 2018 - 9 2019 - 10 2020 - 11 Ok, they went above 9 in the ring more than I thought... I have no memories of the 2008 rumble getting that crowded!

Someone convince me one way or the other... do I sign back up for the network to watch this or nah?

Someone convince me one way or the other... do I sign back up for the network to watch this or nah? It's hard to f*** up a Rumble. Goodness knows they try (and sometimes succeed), but for the price point of it, I'd put money down. I mean it's not like you're paying $60 for it.

10 dollars for two Rumbles is a no-brainer. Plus theyβve been constantly coming out with great docs and shows, like Untold, Chronicle, 24, and a lot of others. Think a Takeover event is happening in February too so youβd get both.

I've decided this week leading up to the Rumble to watch every single Royal Rumble to date... Thus far as I have watched 1988 up to 1992.
Hope to get a few more out the way tonight.
I see I'll do this every year but this year I actually am ;D.

I hope they can somehow top the comical "SuperSatan" levels of heat that Mysterio got in that one Rumble. You know the one I'm talking about.
But alas that's basically impossible until we get full capacity live crowds again.

So you're probably wondering "How can WWE ruin the surprise of who's the 30th entrant in the Men's match and who's the 1st and 2nd entrants in the Women's match?"
This is how:

You know whats damning? They haven't even announced Keith Lee's entry into the Rumble yet. For a man folk thought might win, that's not great.
