Has ANY wrestling company ever done a massive tribute for someone who died while working for their main competition? I think the big difference here is that he worked at WWE for so long and basically everybody is still that there that he worked with over the years. I mean, he hasn't been gone that long. That said, I'm not upset that they didn't do anything more than they have, but I do hope they do some kind of video or maybe a network special tribute.

I don't think WWE did anything wrong. I think they did well in letting they men/women do what they wanted on the show Monday and it sounds like they will have a video package tomorrow along with guys like Big E and Cesaro probably doing their own tributes on the show. Nothing will beat what AEW did last night and that should be how it is.

I believe there doing something on Smackdown or the network.
But I’m so disappointed that people on the internet have used a real man’s death as an opportunity to do wrestling company pissing wars about who did the better tribute.

No they are not in the wrong at all and quite frankly those complaints have been nothing but petty especially from Curt Hawkins IMO. Raw was literally filled with tributes to the man from various stars and commentary all night just because they did not do a big tribute show does not mean there was no tributes paid to the man because there was like I said all through the night on Raw and tonight NXT had the in memory at the start of the show and there is likely to be more come SD. And whether it was the intention or not it was better that AEW atleast be the first to do the big tribute to the man because that is the company he was working for when he sadly passed. Some of Curt's friends are even worse, out and out calling WWE immoral and etc. for not doing it, and similar high and mighty rhetoric. Let he who is without sin etc. etc. Said friends also said AEW and Impact would be better...AEW, well duh, he was working there at the time. Impact only got a graphic, does that make them as "bad" as WWE? Realistically, remember, Harper was a midcarder, besides no longer working there now. Usually WWE goes all out for HOFers and for people who were working there at the time of their passing, like Owen, Eddie, and that other time that didn't turn out so well. I am not defending having tiered tributes, but it is what it is. Let me ask you this: my memory isn't what it was on certain things, but back in 1999, did anyone get mad at WCW for only having a graphic for Owen Hart on the 5/24/99 Nitro? I do remember Hogan calling out the "XXX Porno show" (Raw) pissing off people.

To be fair, WWE was never going to "win" in this situation. They held onto a man's contract far longer than they needed to just to stick it to him.
Friday will tell the tale on how WWE chooses to remember him. I hope he gets at least a ten-bell salute - solemn, traditional, and appropriate for an active wrestler.

Can't link it cause I'm at work but WWE just posted a video on YouTube with Raw Superstars and backstage workers talking about Brodie Lee.

I think what WWE was fine.
At the same time, anyone saying, "He wasn't even important in WWE. Why would they do more," can f*** the f*** off

Also in that video notice how it's only some Raw stars. They're likely to do a SD one today.

So far Brodie's got
2 WWE.com articles Massive twitter tributes across 3 WWE accounts A tribute banner before RAW 4 separate tributes on RAW (the intro, Drew, Ricochet/Ali and the New Day) 2 big tribute videos on YouTube
possibly a further video on Smackdown tomorrow.
This is by far the biggest deal the WWE has ever made over a recently deceased wrestler who wasnt in the HOF or on the current WWE roster - which speaks for how universally adored Brodie/Luke was.

I think some of the criticism is they had bigger tributes to guys like Warrior who were not even known by the locker room, and generally disliked in the wrestling community

Such an eerie situation with Warrior,

Again, I’m not sure what we get from bashing those who know the guy and want what’s best. They’re not insulting others who disagree, just not understanding some of the company’s logic having worked there. Even if you disagree with them, considering what we know about Brodie Lee now, I can’t say I blame them for feeling that way.
Like, we know how they were waiting for AEW to do theirs considering they were his last employer, but it’d have at least been nice to know that and not be so damn secretive about it.

I don’t know that they’ve done a ten bell salute since Benoit. Just the older guys like dusty, Roddy, Paul bearer, Patterson, finkell
