On the NOV. 15, 1986 episode, we see Macho Man Randy Savage coming to the ring in his rare airbrushed robe. Also, Savage goes to a double count out with Koko B Ware. I guess at this point, they were still keeping KoKo strong. Yet, it seems like after WM 3, KoKo transition into a jobber to the stars role.

So they dub over the Machines and Honky Tonk Man theme's. Why I thought the WWE owned those. And Dick Slater's theme, isn't that public domain?
And another thing Koko B. Ware is a liar, the 9/21/86 episode he claimed he invented The Byrd dance, a dance that was invented by Morris Day 2 years later, did the WWF think no one saw Purple Rain?

Machines was actually a NJPW piece, used for Andre when he wrestled there. The original HTM theme was a knockoff of "That's Alright, Little Mama" by Elvis Presley, and we know what happens to soundalikes on the Network. (though didn't they dub it with Cool, Cocky, Bad before then too?) I wonder if I Wish I Were In Dixie has been...Cancelled? (then why have Slater in that gimmick in general? So naaaaah....)

I wonder if they'll air the Providence/Winnipeg version of that week's challenge, Snake Pit included. Not likely, but it would be a nice little hidden gem (and unlike Hart/Magee, we KNOW it aired on tv). BTW, the segment where Killer Khan spit the poison into Hogan's eye was also only for the markets where Hogan/Khan was taking place. Was it? Then I guess NYC was one of the lucky ones, as I remember the version with the Hogan/Khan incident. What did everyone else get?

The markets that didn't see the Hogan/Khan segment got a Snake Pit with Mr. T that was interrupted by Danny Davis, who got chased away by Jake and Damien.

I'm thrilled to be getting this content finally!! I grew up watching at about 88 or 89 so seeing some of the storylines from 86 and 87 is cool.
Does anyone know if they are any closer to getting superstars of wrestling? I'm familiar with the lawsuit and ownership but I wasnt sure if anything had changed.

Well, this 1990 Wrestling Challenge introduction certainly doesn’t age well for 2021 standards! It started off with Bobby Heenan cracking (an admittedly funny) “fat” joke about the Big Boss Man’s mother (did she ever appear on TV?). And some of the featured talent that week was Iraqi sympathizer Sgt. Slaughter, Saba Simba & Dusty Rhodes towards the end of his WWF run when he wore the black top hat with the bird skeleton or whatever that was supposed to be. youtu.be/-2CjlZr2Yb0

She appeared on an episode of Prime Time during the studio audience era. If it was canon that Big Boss Man and Big Bubba Rogers were one in the same, I wonder if she meet mama Cornette. Big Bubba's backstory is he a long time employee of the Cornette family. Could he have the spear time to be a prison guard as well.

Babyface Honky Tonka Man promos! When it works I love this thing. Listening to those, are we sure it was never intended for him to turn heel. He sounds like 1999 Kurt Angle with how conceited he still comes across.

According to everything I've read & heard Vince thought he was gonna get over as a face despite Honky telling him he developed a heel gimmick.

He sounds like 1999 Kurt Angle with how conceited he still comes across. About ten years ago I marathoned the WWF syndicated shows between Honky's debut and his heel turn, and honestly for most of that I just felt sorry for Honky. He never really came off disingenuous or arrogant so much as he was just naively delusional.
