I mean, of course. The real question is whether he has a future ANYWHERE.

Yea, that was a given
He don't strike me as wanting to be a backup tho so I wonder if he will just say f*** it and walk off

I wouldn't rule out him returning. If they miss out on QB's in FA/draft, he might end up being the best option.

I don't think it's fully a done deal. Do they look heavily into the draft/free agency? Absolutely. And if he ends up getting interest somewhere else, I don't think we'd fight hard to keep him. But is there a world where we get another veteran or rookie and bring him in to compete? I think so. The team loved the guy and while I think he's probably too far past it as a thrower, this was a really weird year and he'd be at least worth a look to see what he could do with a full training camp with the team. Ideally I'd want one of the more established names in free agency/a good prospect, but Cam isn't a terrible backup plan if all else fails. We almost won 9-10 games with him with almost no weapons.

Is he leaving the Pats or are they kicking his ass out the door?

And he already throwing hints out there he don't know how he is going to feel being a backup so as I said I think he is done
On the Pats side, most likely Jimmy G and 49ers headed for a divorce so I can see him going back to Pats on a much cheaper deal

He was already on the decline thanks to injuries and general wear and tear, and then he caught COVID on top of it.

I sure as hell hope so.
I didn't think he was worthy of starting for them this year. But to be honest, anything New England Patriots makes me disgusted. So I don't care what they do going forward.

My guess is he signs for an incentive laden $14 mil one year deal.
