IT turned out Bryan was actually dating Gail Kim.

Imagine being from the UK and never being able to see Raw live because of both time and rights.
Imagine the happiness you feel when, finally, after years of Raw being shown later in the week on Sky Sports, they announce that Raw will be shown live at 2am.
Imagine staying up, sitting on your sofa and excited to get that feeling of watching the show at the same time as America.
Then imagine when the big thing they hype up for the first Raw live on Sky Sports after a decade+ relationship...
A debate between Muhammad Hassan and Daivari vs. Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler.
This happened. And worse than that, for some reason, I still watched.
I’m still kind of mad.

A young Scott Steiner lured into a limousine by Robin Green to be beaten by Kevin Sullivan and others, then kicked to the street with a huge black eye.
Balls Mahoney declaring his love to Kelly Kelly, then she looked at him lovingly and said “Mmmm...Balls!”
Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff beating the crap out of a random guy on the street outside the Mid-city Gym in NYC.
Mr. Perfect suplexing Shawn Michaels on top of a car parked outside the Manhattan Center during an early Raw episode (I was nearby when this happened).
Bob Holly suffering a gigantic nasty gash all the way down his back as he crashed onto a table.
Undertaker delivering a tombestone piledriver on his opponent on an escalator at a Shotgun Saturday Night taping.
Owen Hart appearing only twice on the Mothership WCW Saturday Night with Jim Ross’ eerie prophecy ”This is The Rocket Owen Hart of the famous Hart wrestling family, we are very lucky to have him”.
The Ascension declaring “We’re better than the Road Warriors!”, then sliding down the card quickly.

Owen Hart appearing only twice on the Mothership WCW Saturday Night with Jim Ross’ eerie prophecy ”This is The Rocket Owen Hart of the famous Hart wrestling family, we are very lucky to have him”. I know it's hard not to view him as a jobber around 1997 but it was Hunter Hearst Helmsley who took the tombstone on the stairs. I had a VHS tape of a WCW Saturday Night that Owen was on and was really surprised to see him. I think he would have wound up in WWF no matter what but if he stayed with WCW for a while he probably would have maybe been a few spots above Brad Armstrong. He wouldn't crack the mid to upper mid card to get a U.S. or TV title spot I don't think. He was super talented but guys with his ability and lack of promo skills (at the time) really couldn't go too far. Once he became heel and had the Bret feud the sky was the limit in WWF. But in WCW he would be a mainstay on Saturday Night, winning against regular jobbers but probably putting up a good fight against upper tier guys but never winning. Also, I was a huge Droz fan in 1999. I wound up meeting him just two months before his accident and I thought for sure Key would be a huge factor in WWF success at the time. I kept watching WWF shows looking for him wondering why he wasn't on.

Funny, not funny, thing about the Steiner incident: Scott apparently told Simmons and/or Reed to legit give him a black eye in that segment.
That or I think Scott had Rick hit him in the eye before he reappeared.

Vic Grimes as Albert and Droz's drug dealer, Key. Kizarny Palmer Cannon Being a huge Attitude Era mark at the time, I had no recollection of this. I remember hearing about Key and seeing photos of him, but not while he was there. How long was he with the company? Did he only wrestle on Heat or Shotgun? Also, I remember an episode on RAW where The APA were in front of the entrance ramp after the pyro for RAW cooled down. It was a cool visual and I believe one of the rare times(especially during the Attitude Era) where RAW began with a match and not a 20 minute promo. Also, for a short time in 2018, there were guys cutting backstage promos with the words appearing on the screen in different colored letters. It looked like a cell phone commercial, and hella annoying too.

THAT'S IT. I just remember The Usos... LOCKED DOWN! *cheap cgi gate closing* and Nakamura doing his entrance with ROOOOCKSTAAAAR over him.

I’ve never been able to find it, but there was a WWF PSA in I wanna say like ‘95 where Diesel, looking all menacing, is carrying a guitar case on an elevator. The implication is that he’s got a gun in there.
He ends up going into a daycare centre or preschool and opens up the guitar case to reveal 8x10 photos and a Sharpie, which he uses to sign autographs for the kids.
The kicker is when the daycare supervisor/preschool teacher walks over to Diesel and attempts to offer him money for his appearance, but KEVIN NASH of all people refuses a payday and says “No, I can’t accept that.”

One thing that never gets brought up is a throwaway commentary line where Harper and Rowan joined the Wyatt Family as "they were made pariahs for their urges". I know it's vague enough to be anything, but you know that makes your brain go "these f***ers are sex offenders" I assume they meant "these guys are violent in a way that makes them difficult to integrate into society", but yeah, they really could have phrased that better, like when Cole went on about Big Show being "raped of his dignity" for getting his head shaved.

Kofi Kingston's trousers falling down when he was badmouthing Paul Burchill, which immediately made him look a complete chump. Reminds me of a match Test had with Viscera in I think 1998, maybe 1999, pre-T&A, in any case. Test was shooting Viscera into the ropes, with the latter's pants ending up like halfway down his thighs and him having to pull them up. It wouldn't have been that noticeable, maybe, but he had that Ministry-era outfit he wore before the long coat gear, all dark colors, and he had tighty whities on. Quite a contrast.
