If I'm the Colts, I make a run at Carson Wentz in the off-season. Don't laugh. Wentz, under the watchful eye of then-Eagles offensive coordinator (and current Colts head coach) Frank Reich, was a borderline MVP candidate in 2017, throwing for 33 touchdowns and 7 interceptions, leading the Eagles to an 11-2 record before he tore up his knee. Reich could be just the coach to rehabilitate Wentz's career. And it's not like Wentz, at age 28, is done or washed up. He had an admittedly horrendous 2020 season, but he's been very good or pretty good in the two years since returning from injury. With Reich as his tutor, Wentz could return to his 2017 form and be the final missing piece to the Colts' Super Bowl contender. It's readily apparent that the 2017 Eagles' offensive success was largely (almost exclusively) attributable to Reich and not Doug Pederson, Jalen Hurts is clearly Philadelphia's quarterback of the future, and with Wentz's contract, the Eagles are probably looking to unload him for cheap, so the Colts could probably have him for a song. If I'm in Indianapolis' front office, I'm seriously considering making a move for Carson Wentz, even if Philip Rivers decides against retiring this off-season. Just.....NO. I’m sick of all these prognosticators saying that the Colts need to make a play for Wentz. The only reason, and I mean the ONLY reason to trade for Wentz is to complete an Osweiler-like trade where the Eagles buy cap space. However, there’s a ton more guaranteed money involved and it covers multiple seasons, making even the Osweiler trade way too low a price. What’s the alternative? Another season of watching Philip Rivers get the Colts close but not close enough? Sometimes when you’ve got a borderline Super Bowl contender, you’ve got to make a major move, and rolling out an aging, regressing Rivers isn’t it.

How is overpaying for the burnt out husk of Wentz the best option? Again, I only want to trade for him if the deal is so good that I don’t care if he himself actually makes the team or not.

What if Philadelphia is looking to rid itself of Wentz to clear cap space? Remember, Houston traded Osweiler, a second-round pick, and a sixth-round pick to Cleveland for a fourth-round pick. Let's say Philly comes calling with that exact offer, but with Wentz. How does Indianapolis say no? Sure, Wentz was horrendous in 2020, but as I said, he was an MVP candidate under Frank Reich. He's damaged goods now, but there's the possibility that Reich could rehabilitate Wentz and turn him back into the player he was under his tutelage in Philadelphia, and all it could cost is a fourth-round pick (and the added bonus would be a second and a sixth).

Russell Wilson is f***ing garbage. I'm sure the Bears and Jets would certainly disagree

Who is the leader of the Bucs defense? Player or coach, someone has to tell this defense, enough of this crap. You let a nobody punk like that embarrassed you.
The Washington has had great 2nd half defense, let's see what they can do here.

If Washington pulls this out, which lose would be more embarrassing for Brady, this one or the 1st round lose last year?

Somewhere, Kane saw that Law and Order SVU commercial and said "that was NOT illegal!"

Being fair, this is bad for GB, worst matchup they could get... Ramsey takes DeVante, no Bakhtiari...it'll be a struggle. Uh, no.

But it wouldn’t be the Osweiler deal. That bought $16M of cap space in one year. This proposed deal would be for two years of cap space relief and over $40M. The Osweiler deal would have to be improved upon. Change that 2nd to this upcoming 1st and make the second pick come next offseason and be conditional to Wentz’s performance and I lose my saltiness over this idea. Yes, that’s a STEEP price for the Eagles. It’s also not as though they are not over the barrel though.

Washington even though you'll most likely lose this game you showed a lot of effort and the players should be proud of how close this game has been with the team they have

A guy like Heinicke doing so well really speaks to how bad Tampa's secondary is. They won't get away with it in the next round.

Very proud of the effort Washington put up tonight. I am cautiously optimistic for the future. Unfortunately, I have seen a lot of promising seasons turn out to be fools gold in the past twenty plus years.
