I'm glad a fifty year old Austin never came back now. Wanted it for years but glad we never saw him last his prime. The only fifty year old guy that was really good was Hogan in 2002. It was wonderful. Except he was 49. At least Hogan actually gave a shit and put over young talent like Brock, Kurt, Jericho, HHH etc. Goldberg is basically here to waste everyone's time, squash talent like Wyatt, Owens and Ziggler and do it in the laziest possible fashion with his "bell rings, spear, spear, spear" shtick.

At least Goldberg isn't winning the Rumble I guess? Monkeys paw Goldberg loses to Drew...goes onto win the Rumble to main event Mania against Roman. Someway , some f***ing how Vince for assuredly only reasons that only make sense to him Goldberg is gonna main event Mania.

I f***in’ hate this because now it’s gonna be a month of everyone being in a salty mood over either Goldberg being there in the first place, or the belief that it’s a foregone conclusion that he’s actually winning SOMETHING, be it the belt or somehow the Rumble match he 99.9% most likely won’t be in. If this stuff is bad, I want it to be a bad I can laugh at and make jokes about and have fun with, not this “exposing legitimate problems with the company structure” bad. This shit’s not fun to talk about when there’s anger undercurrent.

At least w/ Goldberg they get the dream matches out of the way. Could not say the same thing with Austin for example, which is kinda sad. Though his new show might be cool!

Apparently, Dave Meltzer is claiming that this has happened because, in Vince’s opinion, they’ve run out of credible heels for McIntyre to defend against (other than, presumably, McIntyre’s WrestleMania opponent, whoever that may be).
In other words... “Oh no, I didn’t see this problem coming” says the only person that can literally prevent these problems from happening at any time.

Hmmm... Do people really think Goldberg will beat Drew or are people just afraid of it happening? Even though I haven't been watching full shows from what little I've seen they're clearly building towards Drew/Sheamus for the world title. Am I missing something? Yea, I think they building up to him and Sheamus which i'm in favor for Sheamus can still go too. He's 42 but he can still give 3-5 more years. That being his last major WM match would be great. Yes to both, but then I'm your local friendly Drew Mac mark who still thinks the roof is going to crash in on this at any moment! (Also, tbh, Drew v Sheamus doesn't sound like a Mania title match in recent years and I'm reminded how they spent 6 months building Jericho/Owens as the biggest story on RAW only to shift it to the US title once Goldberg showed up...)

To be fair, how on earth could McMahon know that Wrestlemania was coming up, or that McIntyre would still be champion? Just because it's a scripted product that he has 100% control over?

Hahaha 30 years later its still the Ultimate Warrior booking! Gets the man to the top spot and then doesn't know what to do with him.

"Our mission at WWE is to make new stars! So let's completely neuter Keith Lee from wrestling style, to promos, to look/gear, and then have him lose clean as a sheet and be a complete afterthought to the Royal Rumble World Title match... DREW MCINTYRE VS GOLDBERG!" Keith Lee looked like a monster. Nothing wrong with losing clean to a strong world champ. He’ll be world champ himself by Mania 2022 if not sooner.

At least Goldberg isn't winning the Rumble I guess? Nah, he'll just beat Drew and then Brock or Cena will win the Rumble and RAW will lose even more viewers. Brock, Cena and Goldberg usually pop ratings, to this day. If all 3 were suddenly on Raw full-time, ratings would probably go up at least 500,000 viewers.

I mean Sheamus is right there, unless that would really be the Mania title match which I highly doubt. Consider me intrigued and excited. This can go a bunch of different ways. Most likely Drew just wins, but they could do a Miz cash in, or Goldberg wins, Drew wins the Rumble and challenges Roman while Goldberg puts someone else over for the title at Mania or EC.

I love the idea of people cutting promos based on things the other person never even said. "Drew how dare you come out here and say I'm a big stupid jerk and you're 10 times the wrestler that Ricky Steamboat was and your beard is way cooler than mine!" "Wait Bill I never sai.." *shoves him over*

If you are going to do this (and you absolutely shouldn’t), at least have the build be “I never won the WWE Championship and you have it so YOU’RE NEXT” and not making accusations about your top babyface that haven’t been demonstrated on TV at all.

This is a perfect match to have in-between the 2 Rumble matches when the viewers are usually exhausted. Have Drew squash Goldberg in 5 minutes. Yeah I’m fed up of seeing Goldberg & Brock in these 5 minute big move after big move matches like we saw at Mania but I think in this scenario it works.

Yeah that part didn’t make much sense. I like having the match, though. More exciting than a run of the mill Rumble title match you can do with Drew.

If Goldberg wins the title then he will have been a world champion through 4 different decades. I can see WWE having him win and pushing that fact every chance they get. So I think he has a believable shot at winning though I'll wait and see. Isn’t he that already having won it last year? Decades start at 1, not 0. 2020 was the end of a decade.

If Goldberg wins it will be via pinning Miz due to a fail cashin imo.
