There was that HHH/Undertaker match that was built as if it was going to end an era with tons of video packages and special music... and it ended up being to old dudes getting winded and plodding around the ring like morons.

Brock vs. Goldberg at WM 20. I've never liked either one and personally thought it was going to suck even if they tried but I wasn't expecting them to just completely say, F*** IT and these people that paid to be here. But that's the story of those 2 in a nutshell.

Hogan/Sting is forever the answer to this. Amazing build up, damn near flawless, but laid an egg when it mattered.
