i watched them last night, and after episode 2 i gotta say i'm upset {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}first, at the start of the episode, Wanda uses her powers to push her and Vision's beds...together. a man and a woman with their beds together! on television!! Lucy and Ricky didn't have their beds together. Fred and Wilma didn't have their beds together. but Wanda and Vision, hey, lets snuggle up close! you all know what that implies when two adults have their beds together. is it any wonder Wanda ends up pregnant at the end of the episode. and children are watching this show!
and then Wanda leaves the house...wearing pants! has she no shame in her appearance?! what kind of an example is she setting! next she'll be wanting to work outside the home and insisting Vision do the dishes. he doesn't eat food, woman! why should he do the dishes?!
but to top it all off, we've got Vision. at a talent show, raising money for children, he's got the nerve to show up completely out of his senses. if a man can't handle his bubblegum like that, he shouldn't be allowed in public! at least we can be thankful it was only Big Red. who knows what he would've looked like hopped up on Double Bubble.
Marvel, have you no decency. you clean up this smut or i may just have to switch over to the DCEU. they'd never have something as lurid as Batman and some strange woman pushing their beds together! I am truly shocked and saddened by these heinous actions. Yeah, it's not like Batman would ever somehow seduce Barbara Gordon into sex on the rooftop or something...

Count me as another who knows next to nothing about MCU but was drawn by the classic TV theme. I’m liking it so far. There’s a side of me that’s almost disappointed that the sitcom stuff is a means to an end, because they’re doing that so well. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Okay, the "opening credits" for episode two are obviously spoofing Bewitched. Anybody with better knowledge of that era know what the first episode's opening credits were inspired by? {Spoiler} I don’t think it was so much an homage to a particular show as it was to the genre during that era as a whole. I thought it was influenced by a few shows—the theme song reminded me of The Patty Duke Show; the chair in the living room bit, as mentioned, was an homage the Dick Van Dyke Show intro(s); bringing home his new bride arguably might have been influenced by I Married Joan; the picket-fenced house looked like it came from The Donna Reed Show (though that wasn’t in the show’s intro). But it wasn’t as direct a play on any particular show as the 2nd ep intro was, as far as I could tell. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}The music and a lot of the imagery were definitely meant to be evocative of The Dick Van Dyke Show, but that didn't start until the 60's so it doesn't completely fit the 50's theme of the episode. Don't know if maybe something else was mixed in there as well that I missed. {Spoiler}Agreed. The chair bit, the house layout, and the “If you don’t know, I’m certainly not going to tell you” line were almost straight out of Dick Van Dyke.
I noticed the layout of the house in the 2nd ep was also very similar to Darren & Samantha’s house in Bewitched—which, as mentioned, was paid quite a bit of homage in that episode. (I’m guessing in the 3rd ep, the house will suddenly look like the Brady house.)
And I noticed the timing being a little off, too—Dick Van Dyke ran from 1961-66. Maybe they felt there weren’t that many instantly recognizable shows in the 50s that would have really fit the story they were going for in that episode (obviously I Love Lucy and the Honeymooners were iconic shows, but neither of them would have completely fit with this story), so they could afford to be off by a couple years. That’s just my guess, though. i watched them last night, and after episode 2 i gotta say i'm upset {Spoiler}{Spoiler}first, at the start of the episode, Wanda uses her powers to push her and Vision's beds...together. a man and a woman with their beds together! on television!! and then Wanda leaves the house...wearing pants! has she no shame in her appearance?! what kind of an example is she setting! {Spoiler}Actually, Lucy & Ricky did have their beds pushed together the first season. Not sure why they backpedaled later. And I know you said the pants thing in jest, but that was actually something of a controversy on The Dick Van Dyke Show, when apparently the network & sponsors thought the fit of Mary Tyler Moore’s capris were a bit risqué. They eventually backed down, though, after women said it was a more realistic portrayal of how they dressed, & men said they liked seeing her wear them. (And personally, I was getting a Laura Petrie vibe from Olsen’s outfit on that episode.)

I sort of need to see Paul Bettany in a sitcom now. The world needs more Paul Bettany in general. Had my mind blown a few minutes ago by this factoid: Paul Bettany has now been in the first project of each phase of the MCU: Voicing JARVIS in Iron Man and Iron Man 3, Vision in Captain America: Civil War and WandaVision. Don’t 12 years go by in a blink?

Considering some of the stuff he was on record in the Johnny Depp vs. The Sun court case saying about doing to Amber Heard, I'm genuinely surprised Disney didn't put him on time out. They fired James Gunn for less.

It's been debated if the movies/shows are actually superior to the comics, and while I'm not going to take a side, this is DEFINITELY something that couldnt be replicated in the comics.

I had a fiancé and a goal to teach that first summer with Iron Man and Incredible Hulk. Been flying solo and been doing customer services for a total of seven years lately. This got dark, didn’t it?

If I start getting into stories this actually gets darker then we've already taken it (although it's funny dark with me, not Schindler's List dark)

My current fiancee has stuck with me through the past several movies and she is on board as much as I am.

I’m going to spoil tag this just in case, but will edit to remove. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} If I had to guess, one is Wanda's engagement ring and one is her wedding band, with the third, larger band being Vision's.

I’ll need to rewatch episode 2 to see if it had changed.
Or maybe something to be saved for the end.

Closest thing to the whole “weird alternate idyllic world that’s actually creepy” scenario in the comics was Avengers Standoff.

Reminds me a hell of a lot of that section near the beginning of Saints Row IV.

The only down side of this show so far is that it once again reveals how stupid Age of Ultron killing off Quicksilver was. Wanda's gone mad over the death of a robot, but her own brother dying is practically forgotten? {Spoiler} and with the kids coming, we really could see Mephisto and potentially she'll really snap and end up the big bad herself
