{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}
{Spoiler} {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} There's one part of that that I've been thinking about... why did nobody think to call the Avengers? Surely they'd be interested in knowing another Avenger has pretty much kidnapped an entire town and is brainwashing them.

Surely they'd be interested in knowing another Avenger has pretty much kidnapped an entire town and is brainwashing them. I guess the question is "who are the Avengers at this point?". Iron Man and Black Widow are dead. Captain America is now an old man and probably presumed dead by the general public. Hulk is in rough shape with his arm injury. Hawkeye is supposed to be retired I think. Thor and Captain Marvel are off the planet, along with the Guardians of the Galaxy if they count as Avengers. Even if Chadwick Boseman was still with us, I doubt T'Challa is coming to New Jersey to deal with this mess. Spidey and Bucky's status as Avengers is shaky at best and they don't really have the resources to pull together a team. I think it's safe to presume officials don't have any easy way to contact Dr. Strange. So who does that leave? Falcon, War Machine, Ant-Man and I guess Wasp if she counts as an Avenger. Not exactly the first string line-up.

That's actually a fair point. But still, I feel like the Avengers B-team would've been better than nothing.

You also have to look at the situation...the only one capable of even having a chance of dealing with this is pretty impossible to contact.
All the others would show up and be all....ummmmm (touches the hex and who knows what changes about them not just surface level but their dna as well) and just be asking questions themselves.
They just are not equiped to deal with magic without the one dood who deals in it even though in the comics he refuses to deal with anything that has to do with chaos magic so perhaps it will be revealed to be the same here.
He could have helped...but
Strange: chaos magic? nuh uh f*** dat.

I'm still curious to know how much of the missing beats (Darcy being missing for most of the finale, some plot points having so-so, rushed resolutions) was due to the show having a chaotic shooting schedule, with a six months covid-mandated break, and the safety protocols probably wreaking havoc on what was initially planned. So about what I expected re:the pandemic affecting the show. Too bad Disney probably wouldn't be too keen on an extended edition of that finale...

So where do you rank the {Spoiler}{Spoiler} Ralph Bohner reveal amongst Rey's parents and the Mandarin? Right in the middle, but I'm not really offended by any of those reveals tbh. {Spoiler}I'll always rank Rey's as slightly worse, not necessarily because it was bad (the idea of her strength in the Force being spontaneous as opposed to just something handed down like royal issue opened a lot of possibilities), but because it only compounds the inherent problems with Abrams' "mystery box" style of writing, i.e., "what do we do know"?
I'm not mad at all about Quicksilver just being "Ralph", one because I overwhelmingly prefer Aaron Taylor-Johnson's version of the character, and two, because I never thought for a moment that Marvel Studios, with their wealth of creators waiting for their chance at the material, would just import FOX's old shit. Now, was dismissing FOX Quicksilver with a "boner" joke a little WWE flexing on WCW in it's delivery? Yeah, kinda, but not enough for me to feel any sort of way about it.

Now I wanna see #ReleaseTheShakmanCut trending just to mess with the Snyder Cult.

They can still make that canon if they ever want to honestly. {Spoiler}Since they completely dropped the witness protection angle...what if âRalph Bohnerâ is a fake name and Jimmy Woo is really helping heroes from the multiverse that are appearing in the MCU hide out while they try to figure out how to get home? He is the real X-Men Peter Maximoff. Agatha canât duplicate superpowers. Wandaâs probability hex is why Peter and her managed to be in Westview at the same time.
That is if there decide to address it if a Season 2 happens...or in MoM.

I kind of went over the score last week and I apologise to anyone I argued with. The break did me good and I rewatched the finale a couple of times so I could be extra sure I wasn't missing anything {Spoiler}Overall, very disappointed with it. I started this show with high hopes and enjoyed a lot of it as it unfolded, but the last couple of episodes really soured me on it and while episode eight was quite strong, the finale limped to the finish line.
It has nothing to do with expecting Mephisto or the X-Men to turn up (I'll get to that in a moment), it's generally just the feel of a terrible rush job. It's really a big ol' soap opera story at the end of it all, you could have told the same thing as a one-shot in under half the time, without witches, without the nonsense and camp of Agatha or anyone else, you could have still used 'Clear Vision' for some of the more heartbreaking bits like it was in the comics, instead it was more a smaltzy tender ending.
And I just didn't like Wanda getting the Power Rangers upgrade at the end either. That was just...daft. I like my cheese in comic book movies, but at least have it make sense. Just felt like they were advertising a toy there.
I will give high praise for how Vision regained some of his agency after his disastrous comedy filler episode with Darcie, even if how he dealt with 'Clear Vision' had already been done in an episode of Doctor Who and probably a few other shows I'm not acknowledging.
And, yeah, if I am guilty of wanting the X-Men, I was totally expecting Wolverine to show up when we cut to the cabin at the end. That's my thoughts.

The Assembled making of special is aces. Credit to the costume team for the black and white episodes, I had no idea Wanda was in red so frequently! Yes, even in the 50s. Her shoes were red.
Kathryn Hahn better get more work, Marvel or otherwise, after this. Sheâs a delight and really looked like she was having the time of her life.
Know itâs almost time for FAWS, but man, WandaVision is going to be tough to top.

But I agree about it being rushed. I'd give them the benefit of the doubt saying, "Maybe it's a reference to sitcoms solving everything in 30 minutes!" But yeah, it was really rushed as we saw in the above article. But...the chase was better than the goal, IMO.

The behind the scenes documentary is pretty good, really in depth and gives you an idea behind what went into it.
I mean, it was always going to be biased and not really reference how COVID affected things because, well, why would it? But still, a lot of fun.
Also, #GivePaulBettanyASitcom
Edit: Also also Teyonah Parris is so positive and so much of a dork, I canât help but love her.

I'm shocked that people haven't theorized that Disney was attempting to "humble" the Fox brand of Marvel with the {Spoiler}Ralph/Pietro thing. I also feel that we'd look at WV more fondly had it ended with the Agatha All Along reveal.

Just finished the show. I was really hoping sheâd get to keep the twins. Wandaâs goodbye to them was especially heartbreaking. I'm shocked that people haven't theorized that Disney was attempting to "humble" the Fox brand of Marvel with the {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Ralph/Pietro thing. I also feel that we'd look at WV more fondly had it ended with the Agatha All Along reveal. Considering that version of Quicksilver only existed as a means for Fox to screw with Marvel Studios, itâs fitting.
