On her Twitch stream last night, Lita shared a story about the live sex celebration she did with Edge in 2006. She said that she was super uncomfortable with it and Edge, Cena, and others spoke up for her. But Vince loved the idea and threatened to fire her if she didn't go through with it. She also said this played a major role in her leaving at the end of the year and how they booked her towards the end of the run.

So basically workplace bullying then by Vince McMahon. I wonder if this could have been the bullying story CM Punk was going to bring up before being cut off. Didn't he date Lita for awhile? Yes I am aware the pipebomb was planned that way. Just kayfabeing it.

He's also the guy who uses so-called independent contractors but prevents them from working elsewhere for a specified number of days after they're released from their contract.
He's been exploiting his employees for decades and, in a just world, someone would call him out on his bullshit in a way that couldn't be ignored.

The last few years of celebrities being prosecuted shows that no one is untouchable if they do the crime. Now Vince's crimes may not be something like forceable rape but I truly believe there will be a time he will be forced to pay for his actions. He may be in his 80s when it happens and he would have gotten away with it for decades but it would be a harsh reality for him to die in his older years knowing he can't enjoy them like he once did-because things will come out. He won't be going to jail but it won't be a pleasant life for him either.

That's horrible, and I feel for Lita, and this isn't me making light of her having to go through that but directed entirely at the idea Vince would do this:

Absolutely disgusting and shit like this is why I get so disgusted when fans react like he's some loveable old grandpa with just a few business quirks. Dude is a ruthless, disgusting, exploitative scumbag.

I wonder if he demonstrated having sex with Edge to make her feel more comfortable first?
All kidding aside, Vince is an evil twat. Stop giving him your money.

The last few years of celebrities being prosecuted shows that no one is untouchable if they do the crime. The key thing about some of them, though, is that they were people who the rest of the industry would gladly throw under the bus any chance they got with the power they were losing. The reason people spoke out about Harvey Weinstein, for example, was because his power was waining in the film industry overall so in one case, it was knocking the old coot off his perch and packing him off to prison. Not to say his crimes weren't reprehencible, they absolutely f***ing were, but considering how long it took, there was a reason it took that long. Vince, for all the lack of popularity the WWF has in the mainstream and the slowly dissapeering fanbase, is still the top wrestling promoter in the world. You have to be on his good books to work with him and even in the company, you have to be in his good books to still work for him. Not many people are going to speak out against him, even if they have legit stories, because his company is the one with the money. Now, this could change if AEW gains more popularity over the next few years but considering they were uncontested for almost two decade and Wall Street still considers him an important influence, that isn't going to be any time soon. The "best chance" of stories to come out is that or Vince's death.

The way Lita was dragged under the bus during the whole Edge situation is one of the more disgusting acts they've pulled. Just imagine another situation where someone's boss demands employees to reenact a messy personal relationship dissolution for the entertainment of the masses. It's f***ing disgusting, but he gets away with it cause pro wrestling under his umbrella is that much of a cesspool.

The "best chance" of stories to come out is that or Vince's death. Also, consider the differences in what would happen with Vince deposed versus someone like Weinstein. The Weinstein Company got bought out and shut down by a company that took over their assets and library without much marriage to the management of old. That's on top of all the productions that shifted away from The Weinstein Company and found another studio to work with. One powerful man went under, and everything in the industry shifted away, his name and control not only no longer relevant, but a thriving business around that leaving people free to continue elsewhere (in theory, at least, as there's always the risk of other industry abusers or friends of the accused who will avoid and blacklist victims who come forward). But even if Vince did get deposed and put into jail, who'd take over the company? His daughter and son-in-law. I can't think of anybody who might take bigger issue with someone's accusations putting Vince into prison than his own daughter, outside of some HBO prestige drama level Machiavelli shit on Steph's part to get exactly that done. WWE would remain a burned bridge for life.

Dude is a ruthless, disgusting, exploitative scumbag. This is why I hate that meme of him making the different faces. It's become popular with non-wrestling fans who don't know who he is. A long with that fluff piece documentary in the works that will likely make him look like an a lovable, eccentric man. People complain that Darkside of the ring focuses too much on saying Vince is a bad guy, but it's well deserved.

This just makes me wonder who else he threatened to fire if they didn't do something raunchy on live tv. Trish with the dog barking segment? Every diva he had an on-air relationship with? Not saying it was all of them, but I'm thinking Lita can't have been the exception. And this is just the females.
Someone recently said the World would be a better place when the man is gone from it and caught a lot of heat, but f*** it, that's where I'm at.

You mean the guy who wrote himself to make out with all 20-something year old Divas while he was in his 50s was a creep all along? You mean the guy who wanted to proclaim he got his daughter pregnant in storyline was a creep all along?
Lita was a 10 years ahead of her time talent who broke her f***ing neck for the company and then couldn't have gotten out of there sooner after her best friend left.

When I met Lita, she was very quiet. She was very nice, but very quiet. I did wonder if people brought up those memories, which she didn't need to have. Trish was a few tables away, and talked to me, like she'd known me forever. She may be Lita's "safe person", and that day, they weren't at the same table. I'm happy that they do have each other, though. Firing her for being uncomfortable, is extreme.
