Not having Taysum Hill has really killed NO's offensive depth. Or as Michael Kay once called him, Tayshon Hall.

On the upside the Saints can't blame the refs.

If the Saints lose this that's 3 straight years losing home playoff games. Unless they win it all this year, Brees' legacy will be that of someone who grossly underachieved. Great stats (thanks to a minimum 9 dome games a year) but more often than not, couldnt get it done when it counted I wouldn't say Drew Brees would leave as an underachiever. He won a Super Bowl, was a Super Bowl MVP, and was either first or second in every significant passing statistic. Not every quarterback has to retire with multiple championships. Sometimes guys end their careers with one ring - and that's fine. Brees' defenses were routinely putrid and his offenses were regularly all-world, but I can't imagine he'll retire this off-season and think his career is a disappointment like he's Dan Marino or Jim Kelly. Quarterbacks of this era are being kind of unfairly judged because the standard bearer is Tom Brady. None of them are going to win six Super Bowls or come even close to it. But there's nothing wrong with winning one and having a career that ends with you being among the top two or three all-time in basically every statistical category imaginable.

If Peyton had any balls he'd put Winston in.

If Peyton had any balls he'd put Winston in. If this is Bree last game, he's going to let him go out on his shield

His numbers are great but are inflated of a minimum of 9 dome games a year. Dude wasn't nearly as good outdoors. He's not a scrub. He's a shoe in for the HOF. But he should have done more with what he's had

Yeah, Super Bowl rings are a team statistic, not individual. Even Brady has 2-3 less rings without some of the all-world defenses the Patriots had in his early years. Brees had an incredible career. Super Bowl wins or not, he's Canton-bound.

But he should have done more with what he's had But what's "more than he should have?" Following the win in Super Bowl XLIV, the Saints teams weren't good enough to win the Super Bowl realistically until 2017 (Minneapolis Miracle) and 2018 (pass interference no-call against the Rams). They lost in absolutely historic fashion in those two games, through no fault of his own. If the Saints win either of those games, odds are they probably win Super Bowls LII or LIII. Would two Super Bowls be enough for Drew Brees' legacy? If so, why is two really that much more than one?

Yea, saying Brees underachieved is a massive hot take
The man is the most prolific passer in NFL history, you can't inflate those numbers
He's going to the Hall without question

I'm not saying he's Brad Johnson without it, but it's reasonable to look at his numbers and see that playing glorified arenaball helped him get there.
