I recently enjoyed the work he’s done with Roman. Now saying that I would have had someone else at Rumble with Roman and push for Owens to beat him at Mania. Honestly, I would have Owens win at the Rumble and have Roman win it back a month later on Smackdown. He needs something out of this program, lol

He either needs to actually win once or move him out of the Roman feud and give him other high profile wins...

The next heel down on the roster is Rollins, and that’s already been done many times (not to mention he’s not even there). Anyone else below him aren’t people that would be considered “high profile wins” (Corbin, Ziggler, Roode, god forbid Sullivan). All the best upper midcard/main event heels are over on RAW (Styles (done to death), Lashley, Strowman, Orton).

I haven't watched in a while but Owens to me is one of those guys who just works as a top bad ass style guy, kicking ass and dominating matches, brutalised opponents etc
Like a samoa Joe type
But like Joe it doesn't work when he's getting his ass kicked or he's the sympathetic face on the receiving end of beat downs
Some guys act just only works if they are promoted and pushed as big deals, otherwise it just doesnt work if they show too much weakness
In my opinion of course, but as top guys they can be great, but if they aren't pushed heavily their whole act falls flat to me
Like Tazz when he went from ECW to WWF, for a historic comparison

He NEEDS to win this and it is not at all often where I can look at a feud and be like okay this person NEEDS to win but in this case KO has to because this dude has been on the worst side of the most one sided feud in recent memory.
I do not care if he loses it back to Roman on the very next SD or at Elimination chamber but for the sake of not putting him so deep into the ground that he loses all cred for the long term he needs to win at the Rumble.

I yawned when Owens came out.
They've been trying to get him over for years and honestly, he needs to go somewhere else to reinvent himself.

They’ve turned him into a geek. He’s a never backdown babyface who gets the shit kicked out of him constantly, how the hell is that supposed to work? I have zero faith in him to win, I’ve seen Reigns/Owens multiple times lately, why the hell do I care to watch?
I like Owens, I like the fight Owens fight babyface character , but they’ve booked him into oblivion.

The problem is WWE has dangled fresh Nakamura and Bryan programs for Reigns recently but went back to KO.
I still like Owens and I’m sure the Last Man Standing match will be great but fans are tiring of constant rematches. But then this has been a WWE thing since as long as I can remember now.

He still has his moments sometimes (the TLC match with Roman is the most I've enjoyed him in years), but I'm kinda over wanting to see him beat Roman now. I'm actually strangely disappointed that we aren't getting Pearce vs. Roman.

He’s usually horrible at cutting promos. Almost on the level of Keith Lee. When I watch wrestling, I want a Paul Heyman promo, not a Barack Obama press conference. Different strokes I suppose, but I think KO looks like a slob neckbeard truck driver, but his promo ability is his one saving grace (for me personally). And Keith Lee is freaking amazing at promos. No one speaks with matter of fact eloquence of Lee (when he's allowed to talk like he did in NXT). The fact you compare them to who you did makes me rub my chin in ponderment. Esp since Heyman is the God-king of copy and paste promos. It’s hard for me to explain but essentially in wrestling I like characters who are ON. They’re playing a character and the promos flow naturally in character. With Owens, when he’s cutting a fiery promo, he’s great. But when he’s interrupting somebody else’s promo and waltzes to the ring while he rambles and looks at the floor, I’m bored to tears. It’s excruciating to me in the same way people used to criticize HHH promos from like 2000. As for Keith Lee, I agree that nobody else is eloquent like that. And I think there’s a reason haha. It’s not very captivating. You’ve got this big beast of a guy and he’s cutting these weirdly articulate promos. I dunno. Again, personally speaking, it just takes me out of it. I guess the theme for me is that I want guys who look intimidating to actually sound intimidating too.

The “Adam Pearce” thing confused me & I was wondering where they were going with it. When he brought out KO last night I was disappointed. Sums up how I perceive KO atm.

Agree at the moment.
Booking has given Nakamura the rocket, no idea why KO is getting another shot

Owens vs. Hurt Business would be a banger. I still don't get why he never went after Lashley when both were on Raw. Lashley was the reason he missed a few months in kayfabe.

I think he works “better” as a face, but he’s someone who hasn’t done anything for me anywhere he’s been so it might be a “me” thing as well.

...damn, didn’t know the streets wasn’t feeling it to this extent, lol. I like this act a lot but “baby face that clearly don’t give too much of a f*** but also if you tryna get into some shit, I’ll swing first” hits a lot of buttons for me. He’s been taking a lot of asswhoopings but get him out of Roman’s orbit for some real W’s, he’ll be golden in my nonsensical opinion. I like it to an extent, but I feel like the stunner just didn't do him favors. I still don't get why he can't do the package piledriver when it's probably the safest piledriver. It also isn't as difficult for him to hit on bigger guys, probably, as the popup powerbomb was. It'd at least feel like he was doing his own thing more.
