So this has nothing to do with Batista and his Game Genie?

So this has nothing to do with Batista and his Game Genie? Well he definitely used one in 2014. Unfortunately it was one of those codes that was effective against every enemy EXCEPT the final boss.

I hope that whatever’s in the Survivor Series egg is worth the investment of my time and money. Anyone, and I mean ANYONE who bought that show solely for what would come out of that egg got what they deserved, and paid for.

I've been saying for years that WWE just needs to pick a new guy and strap a rocket to his ass. Give him wins, the belt, a killer entrance, a stable. Give someone new the tools and see where it goes. And they did that, with Jinder...

Sting in WWE sure as hell felt that way. Came in 10 years too late, was defeated in an overbooked nonsenscial match against Triple H, when fans wanted to see him against The Undertaker, then 6 months later challenges Seth Rollins to a WWE championship match where he gets injured and had to retire(for the time being at least).

While we're on the subject, I do recall right around the turn of the last decade there was a strong contingent wishing that the top champion of a company would defend the title a lot less which would, in theory, make the defenses all mean that much more and give what seemed like overexposure of the top star a rest. We got it in ROH with Davey Richards' world title run with very few defenses - which sucked. Then we got it in WWE with the Brock Lesnar reigns and his increasingly rare appearances. So, I mean on paper we really had no modern precedent for such reigns and I can see why so many of us thought it'd be worth a try, but there wound up being no ironic twist. The Monkey's Paw was like "Really? Oooooooookay, if that's what you want, it just makes my job that much easier." On that note, a lot of 10's WWE is filled to the brim with horrible, overexposed versions of things people wanted in the 00's. Less overpowered faces, longer matches with higher quality, signing just about everyone from ROH, sparser title defenses/champion appearances...

"OK, but it's going to turn into McMahon vs. McMahon," said the genie several hundred times.

Dolph Ziggler vacating the US Title because he quit. "Good! How can we miss you if you won't go away! Take some time and you can be refreshed."
*Comes back a month later, no different than before.*

Haha, upon first glance at the SS egg l was like “this is ridiculous” and never gave it another thought.

"OK, but it's going to turn into McMahon vs. McMahon," said the genie several hundred times. I was really deflated by the end of Raw in 2001 when I saw Stephanie become the "owner" of ECW, along with them nonsensically joining up with WCW as The Alliance. A three-way promotional feud ruined in an instant (Vince, Shane, and Heyman leading their respective factions would have been okay without the Stephanie involvement).

A three-way promotional feud ruined in an instant (Vince, Shane, and Heyman leading their respective factions would have been okay without the Stephanie involvement). Deflated is the exact word for it. I was SO into that entire episode of Raw and hanging on every twist and turn. I was even into the ECW / WCW Alliance because let's be honest, both were outmatched on their own against WWF, but together it felt like a threat. And then they introduced the ol' fast forward button herself as "the new owner of ECW". Even by 2001 Stephanie had go away heat with me and for an original ECW mark like myself seeing Stephanie in that position was a massive kick in the crotch. Bruce Prichard defended it as, "did it piss you off? Then we did our job." No, Bruce. You didn't.

Triple H's genie is named, Stephanie. He wished for more wishes back around 2001 and she's been granting them ever since.
