Here's one for the collectors out there. Which wrestlers had the least amount of years as a wrestler and had a figure made of them? Getting an action figure made of you usually means you've reached the big time and a great reward for wrestlers who have been doing it for a long time, so who ended up on toy shelves throughout the world despite having the least experience. I'll kick it off with this guy who started in Stampede in '86 and had a WWF LJN figure the following year. Right place, right time since they just needed someone to cash in on the Crocodile Dundee craze and I didn't say figures of *good* wrestlers, just inexperienced ones. Who else?

Lesnar only had a year or two under his belt before getting his first figure in the Jakks KOTR series in 2002. I think you'll find a lot of these will come out of the Jakks line because they got figures out fast.

I think WWF got a memo to LJN that Outback was supposed to be a "big deal fairly quickly" like Alberto Del Rio. I don't know the timing of LJN releases but I'm guessing they came out a year after a debut and prototypes were done a bit before. They probably sped up production on Jack and I think him, Harley Race, Billy Jack Haynes and Koko were all last minute add on's to the 1987 series. Not sure when they were all released but it was definitely quicker than a lot of the other 1987 guys with some taking over a year for them to be produced from their most popular point, character change or debut (Bob Orton, Hercules, Adrian Adonis). I think LJN also got a memo about the Hart Foundation being the next big thing since LJN got their pink tights outfit out pretty quickly even though their cardbacks and posters still featured them in all black with one colorful strip on pants.
I really can't think of anyone else who had a short career with a figure. Maybe PN News with Galoob but he only had a prototype and ultimately his career wasn't too short, just as PN News. I would think most guys with figures would be guys who stuck around a bit whether it was WWF, WCW or AWA.

I think Ted Arcidi may have had a shorter career than Outback.

I think Ted Arcidi may have had a shorter career than Outback. 5 years vs Outbacks 2 according to Cagematch.

Interestingly enough Ted Arcidi was in the Equalizer 2 with Denzel Washington. It was set in MA where he was from. It was kind of a "blink and you miss it" moment but you would recognize him if you're an 80s WWF fan.

Nailz was only in the WWF for 7 months but got a figure (of course, by the time his figure came out he was long gone). Same goes for Ludvig Borga.

Gymini. Were only on TV for a total of two months, not counting them being taken off TV until after WrestleMania, before one of the twins got hurt. By the time their figures were in the stores, they were back in DSW and about a month or so away from being released.

Corporal Kirshner has got to be up there. I got his figure trading with some other kid. Took me years and years to know who he was.

Did Kharma get a figure? I know she made it into a videogame despite only making a handful of appearances and wrestling one match (a minute and a half run in the 2012 Rumble).

On that note, Dr. Death was in the WWF in 1998-1999 for maybe a couple of months combined when you remove his inactivity from being knocked out of the Brawl for All, but that was enough for a similarly infamous pegwarmer.

I think the original thread meant a guy who lasted like one or two years in wrestling, not a guy who was in multiple feds but only lasted a year in the fed that his toy was made. I think everyone had a Kirchner toy though. I remember being at a friends house in the early 1990s and I know he didn't like wrestling but he had a Kirchner loose toy in his basement. I think because it looked like a GI Joe family members would buy this for kids.
Edit Ted Arcidi just did a virtual autograph signing, like almost 2 hours worth. He seemed pretty arrogant at times but showed a lot of personality. I think if this personality had come out during his time with WWF he may have lasted a bit longer. He does have a thick Boston accent which Vinnie Lupton may have thought to be a weakness so that may have hurt his chances.

And made it into the Attitude video game some how My brother told he he rented that game and I should come over to our friends' house nearby, as a couple other mutual friends were there also. I played one game, because this was my one chance to play as Doc. (And I got counted out, because I couldn't figure out how to get back in the ring.) Fun story: this was the beginning of an annual tradition we do to this day (save 2021, but we agreed to postpone it until spring). 8-Bit Nintendo Fun Day. Yes, it started on an N64.

El Gigante got a WCW figure with under a year of wrestling under his belt, right? He looks so happy and excited, like a kid waiting in line at the ice-cream truck. "Me! Me! Me next!"
