Am I the only one who feels wwe dropped the ball big time with this game? This could have been legends of wrestling but done correctly with a bigger roster, instead we got a horrible game. They have dozens of legends under contract and could have had a huge roster and used the 2k controls but didn’t. What was your opinion of the game and what would you have done differently?

Oh no question, it was terribly underwhelming on every level. When it was first announced, there was a lot of hope that it would be a Legends of Wrestling game done right. Turns out, it did less.
None of the arenas were changed, so Wrestlemania III was about the size of a tv taping. The roster was incomplete, you'd have one half of a tag team sometimes. The gameplay was just not fun.
Considering they could have made it 100% authentic, as they had the WWE license, their decisions are inexplicable.

The roster was odd and felt a couple years later it was like oh hey we could have put Demolition in. Than they where able to get Macho Man. But it as so incomplete roster made less sense with Michael Hayes as a stand alone but even than while a legend he or the freebirds had nothing to do with Wrestlemania and I was hoping the normal WWE 2K game play with legends. Instead we got wrestlers looking like that but have a arcade limited moveset and arena size didn't match.

It suffered from coming out in 2009. Fast forward to 2k14 which took the idea and did it so much better with a more complete roster. I mean LOW was missing Diesal, Razor, Foley, Savage, Steamboat and everyone had the same attire for multiple manias. Granted the 2k14 roster didn't have everyone in LOW but if it had been combined it would have been a great roster. Gameplay sucked too.
The best thing about it was Michael Hayes theme. I use it for my alarm.
