Yea that looks f***ing awesome especially that night time fight. But something I am now convinced of after having watched the trailer atleast 3 times now. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}That is NOT Godzilla and the real one will show up during the final throwdown. As what I think is gonna happen is that duing the night time fight Kong is gonna strike "Godzilla" with that axe and expose whatever it is underneath confirming it aint the genuine article.

It's going to be 80% boring characters doing some boring bullshit like the two previous Godzilla movies but I'm excited anyways.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}I bet "Godzilla" that's fighting Kong is Mechagodzilla. {Spoiler} "Godzilla" with glowing red lights in his neck? Looks like a system status screen in the back there.

Color palette seems a little weird to me. Don’t give a f*** about all the human characters but I’m just down to watch them fight. In some places the graphics look great, others..eh. I laughed when the rap song came on, don’t know why. Definitely feels like it needs to be watched on the big screen.

This is like 90s and 00s colliding in the ultimate wrestling match: An immobile hoss who rarely bumps against a spot monkey. I'd bet my money on the scales, although I guess Kong's fur is more pettable.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}I bet "Godzilla" that's fighting Kong is Mechagodzilla. {Spoiler}{Spoiler} "Godzilla" with glowing red lights in his neck? Looks like a system status screen in the back there. {Spoiler}Thanks to those lovely toy show toy line spoilers for the film(confirmed thanks to this trailer showing the King Kong battle axe made of a Godzilla-species dorsal spine), we know for a fact Mechagodzilla is in this film.
There’s an interesting theory I saw immediately after watching the trailer that the dude in the system status screen pic may actually be Serizawa’s son and he is angry at Godzilla for his father’s death(maybe also at his obsession with Godzilla? Probably made for a rough childhood for the dude if his dad was always running off for Godzilla-related things), so he agreed to help make a Mechagodzilla to fight and ruin the good name of the real deal.

Looks cool but odds are 80% of the film will be spent on the human characters and the side romance that's going on between them. We don't want to see that, we want to watch monsters mindlessly bash their skulls in

Is that the Super X over Kong's shoulder when he touches the hand print?
I also have to disagree with all the people complaining about the human parts when they carry all but the worst of the classic Godzilla movies. The 90s ones are basically garbage just because they are so weak on all the human characters. Though in these latest one's the people (who are pretty flat characters in these) don't really have much to do but look on in wonder for the most part so it has been a chore so I can see why people would want to skip them - but they should really just do a better job with them instead of throwing them out the window. I hope they have struck that balance, so as always I am optimistic!

I don't know why everyone thinks these are any different. Like, the original Godzilla film had a great human cast and story, but most have been forgettable human characters driving the plot. If these were 2 hours of monster fights they would become tiresome after awhile. I think King of the Monsters and Kong had a really good balance of plot and battles imo. This looks to be similar. I'm super excited for this film.

Hell, one of the recent Godzilla movies from Japan, Shin Godzilla, is 80% incompetent government unable to deal with repeated giant monster attacks and it’s honestly one of the best Godzilla movies.

It’s not the movie I expected to watch going in but I loved how they pretty much approached what Godzilla would be like in a “real world” setting.

Sign me the f*** up for this
Also yeah I agree with views above. I'm not the biggest Godzilla fan in terms of having seen all the movies but they have always been about the human interaction. King of The Monsters struck a really good line between action and the humans and I expect this to do it the same way since Kong and Zilla bout to f*** shit up

Dunno if it was ever confirmed but wasn't one of the earliest rumors about this movie that the "bad guy" in the film is: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Destroyah. Although the Mechagodzilla makes more sense
