In 2018, the Patriots selected Sony Michel four picks before Nick Chubb. (And for what it’s worth, Michel was outstanding in the 2018-19 playoff run en route to winning Super Bowl LIII). In 2019, they chose N’Keal Harry four picks ahead of Deebo Samuel, 19 picks before A.J. Brown, and 32 picks before DK Metcalf.
If they land Chubb instead of Michel and Metcalf instead of Harry, there’s no talk about the Patriots not giving Brady weapons.
