I think he would've taken Flair's place at KOTR by beating Eddie, taken RVD's place at Vengeance by beating Lesnar (by DQ) and taken Taker's place over the summer by feuding with the Un-Americans and trying to recapture the Austin-Hart Foundation magic. After that, he would definitely have feuded with new Raw GM Bischoff and probably been in the first Elimination Chamber match. When Shawn returned with their history I could see them forming an uneasy alliance to face HHH and Flair, possibly at Armageddon, followed by another strong showing in the Rumble then the last two months being the same as what we got, beating Bischoff at No Way Out and the Rock match at Wrestlemania. Why do I remember Eddie and Austin starting a feued? No matches but I remember them arguing in a bar. I remember that too. It was supposed to lead to a match, but Flair (I think) inserted himself as Austin's replacement . I remember the IWC at the time being pissed when Flair beat Eddie at KOTR then again when he beat Jericho clean at Summerslam. Turning heel, joining Evolution and moving into more of a manager role was really the best thing that could have happened because seeing this saggy old man beating all the younger guys was so jarring after they had spent years making fun of Flair, Hogan and all the old WCW guys.
