GameStop just got halved because Robinhood is having none of Reddit's shit. Its cause they are financially backed by the company that gave an influx of cash to the short seller to cover their cost. Its fraud and they will be a class action suit.

The rich got beaten at their own game, so they changed the rules.
Robinhood deserves an SEC investigation over this.

And noe the Winklevosses are bullshitting on CNBC and are getting called out on it. Beautiful. What did they say? They blamed politicians for the whole Gamestop/Reddit/Robinhood thing then when CNBC called them out not only did they refuse to clarify anything they said, they insisted "NO WE NEVER SAID THAT". And CNBC ran the clip back. They absolutely said it.

It’s amazing that when the rich manipulate the market to screw over everyone else, it’s business as usual. When Reddit manipulates the market to screw over rich hedge funds, all the stock market traders close down all transactions of the stocks being affected. If you wanted to buy any of the dozen or so stocks featured in that Reddit today you simply could not. All brokers stopped taking transactions in those stocks to minimize the losses for those who were shorting those stocks (and limiting the profits of any already existing shareholders of said stocks). Lawsuits are going to be coming. Brace yourselves. This is my biggest issue with this, is now that it’s gone viral everyone is acting like this is Robin Hood sticking it to Prince John but the ring leader is very clearly a wealthy man manipulating a crowd. Some peasants are gonna make money off this, but most people profiting were already rich motherf***ers and a lot of little guys are gonna end up getting f***ed over this. This is just a bad situation all around. You are not wrong, but the big point is that they are taking advantage of a corrupt system that that allows rich people to engineer the ruin of people's lives in order to profit off of said actions. Pissing in said rich people's corn flakes as they try to do so might possibly discourage such despicable behavior in some people in the future. If this whole deal makes one of these vultures find a less destructive way to make money, I'm all for it.

I am open to hearing how you think that things can get worse than people getting rich by deliberately making people unemployed. Don't get me wrong, no one at the core of this deal is a good person. The vulture capitalists are just the worst but they have been for the longest time. The guy behind this new deal is also not great; as near as I can tell he could be just about as bad as the vulture capitalists but has concluded that the only people that is truly profitable to rip off now are the vulture capitalists.

It's honestly almost impressive how RobinHood has managed to play this completely wrong every single step of the way.

Just another example of how our country is rigged. Anytime someone finds a way to get up on some billionaires they gotta change the system.
