Debuting in the main event to take out Moxley? You're right. It's too soon for White vs. Punk! That would be fun too. Figure Moxley has to be taking on either White or Ospreay at All Out for his promos recently to make sense, although I guess they could scrap the New Japan angle altogether since it seems Tanahashi had to go back early due to all of the COVID-positive talent.

With Tanahashi going back to Japan for an Ibushi match (it's crazy how difficult it is for NJPW to confidently book anything right now with all the COVID trouble), I think AEW will want to keep Mox vs. Tanahashi in its back pocket, so I suspect they'll figure out something different for Moxley to do for All Out. That makes me doubt that he'll face White or Ospreay, as NJPW won't have either of those guys lose right now, and I imagine AEW would want to keep Moxley strong ahead of a PPV match with Tana. Ishii could be an option given that he's in the US right now, but he's lined up to challenge for the NEVER belt at the moment.
While his tweet about coming to Chicago is probably about his appearance for Warrior Wrestling, Jay White potentially appearing in AEW would be huge, though, because it's getting easier to envision an actual Elite vs. Bullet Club feud happening, years after the NJPW version of it was cut short. GoD already made it clear they want to face the Good Brothers, Jay has hunted Kenny to Impact, etc.
It obviously wouldn't be a full feud: like much of NJPW's roster, Bullet Club is currently divided between the members who are sticking in the US right now and those staying in Japan, since quarantine protocols just completely suck right now (with good reason!), so you'd basically have the Elite crew on one side and the BC contingent being White, GoD, Hikuleo, and Chris Bey. Nevertheless, it'd be interesting to watch: if it spilled into AEW it'd give them a good way to fill the time before Hangman returns to challenge Kenny, and while Jay White is an uber heel you know just by wearing the BC logo he and the others would get cheered over the Elite if they're paired together.
...But again, the dream is for Jay and MJF to get into some kind of situation where they just argue over who's a bigger scumbag.
Anywho, all of that is just fantasy booking at the moment; the more likely Forbidden Door development involving NJPW right now, for my money, is Minoru Suzuki potentially showing up to team with Archer against Men of the Year, and to have Suzuki own Dan Lambert.

Two other fantasy booking points 1. If we do get a Bulet Club vs Elite feud... if Adam Cole indeed walks from WWE that scenario gets WAY more interesting 2. Another New Japan talent we could see in AEW soon is Minoru Suzuki. He and Archer are already confirmed to be teaming together again later in September for Autumn Attack. Which may coincide to why Men of the Year laid out an outnumbered Archer this week.

Has anyone called how awesome Kenta vs Punk would be yet? KENTA's been lobbying pretty hard for it. Plus they had a pseudo Twitter feud over who was permitted to pass the GTS on to Danhausen, so you KNOW it's legit.

Garcia worked Strong tonight as well Him, Yuta, and Yehi are all unsigned (to the best of my knowledge) technical stars in the making. Love that they're working any and everywhere right now and getting plenty of exposure. I'd group Josh Woods with them, but ROH smartly got that guy under contract quick.

AJ's one of those dudes who can stare down WWE and wait for them to blink tbh. He's got nothing to lose and knows his worth.

If anyone has an Impact Plus sub or wants it for $10 on Fite I highly recommend tonight's Emergence main event with Christian/Brian Myers. It REALLY brought me back to Christian's ECW reigns where he'd have great matches with people you really wouldn't expect it from (AND AS YOU KNOW ANYTHING HARKENING BACK TO THAT TITLE REIGN MAKE ME VERY HAPPY)

Who has a bad match with AJ Styles??" IT WAS SEVEN YEARS AGO. And not everyone clicks style wise? But it's so weird to hold one match over a dude's entire career...

Yeah, people are too hard on Myers. I like him fine, even if I think his legacy is more likely to be as a trainer when all is said and done, which, considering some of the people he has had a hand in training, that's nothing to be ashamed of at all.

So young Daniel Garcia must have a death wish because he is now calling out Sizuki on twitter He’s basically taking Darby Allin’s gimmick of daredevil and putting it towards “challenging the toughest mother truckers to a fight repeatedly”.

Suzuki's gonna tear this boy's limbs out and then take him out for ice cream because he likes the young man's moxie.
No, seriously, get Garcia into Suzuki-gun USA.

So long as I live, I’ll never understand why Satoshi Kojima always gets crap from western fans.
First it was him constantly getting “Don’t come back” chants as a NJPW rep for NWA, and now he’s getting anger from some fans for being who Mox is facing at All Out. I don’t get it.
