If the Forbidden Door does indeed creak open, it could be interesting to see EVIL and Omega or Callis broker a peace between the NJPW stable and the Elite + Good Brothers. A reunited Bullet Club could be a global powerhouse of a stable again, especially internationally since the combined fanbases of AEW and Impact dwarf ROH's.

I will never understand this way of thinking tbh. The prospect of crossover and big dream matches even if they were to save them for like a ROH/NJPW style big card down the road, absolutely has appeal and would have appeal for a lot of fans of wrestling. I mean, I understand the skepticism from a “who loses and who wins” type of deal. Like, I’m sure NJPW officials don’t want Okada to come in just to lose a bunch of matches to Cody and make one of their top guys look like shit. And on the same side of the coin (heh), I’m sure Tony Khan wouldn’t want his guys just to get their shit kicked in by NJPW wrestlers in every match. I just figure their’s gonna be people on both sides working together to make sure all companies and talent come out of this looking good. It would be in AEW’s favor to make NJPW look, rightfully, as strong as possible.

I don't know if they're working together, but AEW and NJPW certainly seem friendly towards each other, which is an improvement from where they were before.

I could see it happening, since there are a LOT of very convenient elements in play here. Another thing to consider is that a talent sharing program would benefit NJPW in the US right now, since they wouldn't have to lose as many of their home talent for shows in Japan. Being able to have talent from Dark, plus main roster AEW guys come over to do a couple of shots would help them, as well as the younger guys who want to learn and get better.
On the other hand, it's unlikely we'd get to see any of the big dream matches, like Okada or Tana vs. Cody, Suzuki vs. Mox, Ibushi vs. Omega (although this is the most likely one to happen, if any do). At this stage, due to the global situation, it would more likely be to build the Bullet Club stable, as well as give the Dark guys more experience. It almost makes NJPW more of a developmental system for AEW, as opposed to an actual partner. And I'm not sure NJPW would go for that, even if it did get more eyes on them.
So I'm taking the wait and see approach on this. If it turns out to be something, awesome. If not, well, that's OK.

Isn't there also mutual interest between Impact and NJPW restarting their partnership, too? I thought I heard something about that.

Revolution got pushed back to March 7th, so the issue of Mox potentially having to work back-to-back nights no longer exists.

Strong is taped ahead in advance, El Phantasmo wrestled on Strong last night and did commentary this morning at The New Beginning. No way he did a match at 7pm and then caught a flight to Naogoya. They likely already done and taped Moxley vs Kenta

Unless they’ve fully decided to keep the U.S. title a STRONG exclusive title, I’ll bet anything that KENTA is winning this.

Almost certainly, which, I am happy about since KENTA is doing such good work. It obviously would be intriguing if Moxley won from a, "wait, why?" standpoint, but I just am glad he'll get to put KENTA over big, much more realistically. I just want a really good match. They're going to have way more eyes on them than usual, let's be frank, so I hope they convert some new fans to stick around, or bring some people who have lost interest during lockdown back.

KENTA should win, though I'm surprised they even gave Moxley a second run with the US Championship. Then again, the reason he had to vacate it during his first run was something completely out of his control, so maybe they felt like they owed it to him.

I'm not anticipating this meaning a whole ton right now, but I'm really excited for the Mox/KENTA match, and I do hope this leads to some more cooperation in the future.
I do get the concerns some people have about potential NJPW/AEW work: they're both large enough companies that there could be some drama over how to book things in a balanced way between them, and right now a great thing about what AEW's doing is how they're working with other promotions in the US and Japan that could more use the exposure, like Impact, NWA, and DDT/TJPW (plus work with more Mexican promotions seemed on the horizon pre-pandemic) so I'd hate to see those overshadowed or overly complicated by having to balance a NJPW relationship. Hell, we also only just recently got NJPW and ROH's relationship back on the mend, and it'd suck to see that derailed by anything, either.
But I'm very much of the mind that crossovers, talent swaps/excursions, potential big draw matches here and there, and other mutually beneficial arrangements could certainly be set up without having to involve too much political drama or back-seating promotions like DDT or whomever else. In the bigger picture more options, more cooperation, and more excitement likely translates to more money for everybody, so bring all that on. Hopefully the Kenny/Kota tweeting and various Okada "I want to work with more places!" hint dropping moments mean we're on that track.

I hope AEW/NJPW could work out an agreement where Kenny could interfere in the NJPW match and KENTA steals the win. I don't know that you want Mox losing clean, even if you're NJPW.

I hope AEW/NJPW could work out an agreement where Kenny could interfere in the NJPW match and KENTA steals the win. I don't know that you want Mox losing clean, even if you're NJPW. With NJPW being my primary viewing interest, there's a part of me that would love the chaos (no pun intended) of Kenny helping KENTA win while he unites with some of the OG Bullet Club members in other promotions, all as Jay White returns even as he and EVIL have some tension between them over who should be the top dog in the new BC, all as Tama Tonga rages (check his recent kayfabe tweets) about the Elite being back, just leading to utter insanity trying to determine who holds the reins to the Bullet Club and finally triggering (again, no pun intended) a big split that creates new factions.
