As I said, wish we could never see cancer again, because it effin' etc. etc. And it most certainly is trash.
[EDIT: Yes, I edited out another comment that was my running thing about the celebrity deaths we've been experiencing this month. Part of it was sarcastic in that calendars don't control how many bad things happen. But...part of it was me being frustrated that, well, bad things happen still. And especially losing a lot of celebrities who've always been somewhere or other during my childhood or even all my life. We've lost some major and memorable names this past month. Still, sorry for going on about that. Thanks for keeping me in check. If people didn't keep each other in check every so often, this board would be like certain other boards. And I like that I feel safe here. Pardon me, I'm feeling down as Jersey's snowed in and I hope my family and friends are doing OK...]
Anyway while I am not a SBTB megafan, I certainly watched it a lot and love the online spoofs and commentaries. As such this news does suck. Sure Mr. Diamond had his difficulties but a person is a person, and it's sad to have known he went through this.
RIP.

So when's '21 supposed to be better? Will you stop with that already?

Wow, RIP Screech. He was part of a show that was a childhood staple for me for a period.

He had major ups and downs, but he played one of the best social misfits on TV. RIP.

Honestly its real shame he had so many personal issues because his run on the various SBTB shows demonstrates the guy had real comedic talent and probably could have gotten a decent role in a contemporary film or TV show that suited him.

I was looking for something but couldn't seem to see it on YT: one of those A&W ads with Larry Sanderson. In one, Dustin played his son who invented an A&W Cream Soda Float maker. That may be my earliest sighting of him. He was on a Wonder Years episode too, no?

I missed the news that he even had the cancer to begin with so this was quite a shock. RIP Dustin.

Honestly its real shame he had so many personal issues because his run on the various SBTB shows demonstrates the guy had real comedic talent and probably could have gotten a decent role in a contemporary film or TV show that suited him. He had his job and he did it well, like Bob Denver did for Gilligan (and I've seen Screech/Gill comparisons in the past). Near the end of the original continuity the character became more of a caricature, though. And especially in the New Class (when they had him wearing Afro wigs and forcing a Screech voice)
