An incredible career, and speaking as a Trek fan, one that included a great performance in ST VI:

RIP
So many great and memorable performances. I think the first two I thought of though was Captain Von Trapp, which he probably would've hated until the last decade or so when he softened up on it, and General Chang from Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country.

I remember my grandmother getting me his autograph on the playbill for Barrymore, a play he was starring in on Broadway back in 1997. Not to mention Up, Knives Out, etc.

as diverse a filmography as anyone from serious to animated to EMPERORS! not seen ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD or KNIVES OUT yet, still got THE MAN WHO INVENTED CHRISTMAS to see again love WATERLOO as an all star cast movie, and recently watched THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING too but it's arguably star treks best acted villain general chang that may be one of his best, such a subtle performance or menacing and mutual respect maybe when the trek franchise get's back up and running, that character might be back of course it's THE SOUND OF MUSIC that's the standout ... rip sir

Farewell to a true gentleman. No matter his age, he always seemed to have a twinkle in his eye. Sleep well, sir.

Legend.
RIP
The end of Star Trek VI when he surgically carves up the Enterprise while shit talking Kirk is incredible.
Even the second before he dies, he quotes Shakespeare again.
