Why during the babyfication craze of the late 80's - early 90's was there never a show about a young Babe Ruth. With the name "The Babe" it is only natural. Maybe off the John Goodman movie, that would have been a good time to capitalize on it.
I don't know if they would ignore his biography and have him as a suburban kid with parents, instead of living in the church. But young Babe playing in the sandlot with his friends, maybe you could have little kids of his two wives, maybe not use their real names, but implied it is suppose to be them.
Maybe each episode could have a wrap up of grown up Babe Ruth who in real life was a big little kid and played with the kids on the sandlot, anyway grown up Babe tell the neighborhood kids a story from his childhood. (heck if you go with my idea of using his wives as characters, that could explain it as Babe is embellishing the story)
Anyway, Babe Ruth, the name writes itself.

Why would there be?
Why not a babyfication of Lon Chaney?!

It's probably Ty Cobb's fault.

That Flintstones Kids show sorta scratched that itch with their young version of Fred Flintstone.

William Bendix could still reprise his role as Babe

That Flintstones Kids show sorta scratched that itch with their young version of Fred Flintstone. Fred didn’t like cigars and hookers nearly as much as Babe Ruth.
