Ok, bear in mind that I'm a very casual comic fan. Most of my knowledge of post-1994 comic stories comes from Linkara's videos. That said, the library had both volumes of this so I did read them, and, while everything worked out in the end, putting the darker world of Watchmen into the DC Universe just didnt work. It would be like doing a DBZ/Evangelion crossover, it's two different types of storytelling mashed together. I did like the happy ending for the Watchmen universe though.

I didn't mind it
Professor Zoom getting his shit wrecked by Doctor Manhattan early on was a good hook
The schedule they had the series on hurt it more so tho

The delays destroyed the story, it took so long to come out that it was irrelevant by the time it was complete.

Agreed with the schedule but damn I loved this series. Really enjoyed the mess in styles and the ending was something I loved the hell out of.

I read the first 6 issues a few years back. But the local library has this?? I will go down there soon and check it out.

It's a good story, but once Didio wrestled back more control of DC editorial, it became pretty redundant outside of giving Clark back his parents. Death Metal was essentially given the precise closure this was denied once Didio was gone
