I thought this would be kind of a fun topic. What educational toys, games, computer games, and video games did we have or use as kids? I had this VTech Lesson One Learning Computer: It was pretty fun. These days of course it looks really primitive compared to what kids have today.

Never had one at home but at school we had games like Word Shark on the computer (this was early 90s).

The school computers had Carmen Sandiego, Oregon Trail, etc. and some of my teachers had the Brain Quest flashcard decks

Only reason to look forward to going was to play Carmen, Oregon Trail, and Number Munchers. EDIT: oh, but I forgot one thing I had to look forward to at home, thank you HBO:

I loved playing all the Carmen Sandiego games on my home computer and then the computer lab in my school would always let us play Oregon Trail if we were done with our assignment before our time in the lab was finished.
