Anna Jay out with Shoulder injury

Anna Jay won't be taking part in the tournament or any matches for the time being as she has suffered a shoulder injury and is needing surgery for it.

She is expected to be on the shelf for six months to a year which really hampers Dark Order and Tay Conti.

This really sucks to happen for her with how good she has shown to already be.

It was revealed today that Anna Jay was sidelined with a shoulder injury and is out of her match with Britt Baker. Fightful can confirm that the injury happened well over a month ago, and caused a change to the AEW Dark tapings back then. The company and Anna Jay were hopeful that the injury wasn't as severe as it ended up being, but that's what has kept her sidelined for that long.

That's some Tegan Nox shit, jesus. She's real young but that's gonna have to be something she looks out for going forward. I hope it doesn't derail her career.

It really sucks because she is a prodigy, but at the very least, the women's division is filling out with depth to the point Anna being out won't be horrible. I hope she remains around with Conti to continue their best friends dynamic, but I guess we'll see.

Also interesting to note the Baker match never happened, will be interesting if this changes the tourney at all.

But people don't want to put injuries as a reason the women's division has had a hard time gaining traction.

Luckily the division actually has depth to deal with this now, or at least way more than they did last year.

I know Statlander's been appearing on some BTE episodes while being injured, so maybe the same could happen here.

I imagine until she's had some time to rehab like Trent, she won't be back on TV until maybe her arms out of the sling.

I hope otherwise of course because her dynamic with Conti is really good but it might be easier for her to rest for now.

While not a huge blow for the division, her absence will be felt(also on BTE as the role of Dark Order Big Sister she was heading towards). Hopefully this motivates her to be even better upon her return.

If she lives nearby maybe she can stay on tv since they’re not traveling still. I didn’t even notice the last injury since she still showed up with the dark order on tv
