Her mental fortitude is going to be tested but she will come back stronger
Mentally stronger, but shoulder injuries are very complex. In the NHL, Vladimir Tarasenko had his 3rd shoulder surgery in 3 years and his future is very much in doubt because it doesn't hold up very long after rehab before needing another surgery, which in turn makes it weaker. Now the stress of wrestling on a shoulder isn't as much as a big slap shot thousands of times. But it is also not light. I have to wonder, considering the short amount of time between surgeries, if Anna Jay isn't in a similar sort of situation. It's not like a broken bone or a torn ACL, where people can rehab and come back stronger. The risk of re-injury is higher after the first and subsequent injuries. Which is not to cast doubt on her future, but there is some concern.
