Will we finally get to see Maris? Apparently the original plan was to bring her in to Frasier. Norm had his off-screen wife Vera on Cheers, and the producers wanted to avoid the inevitable comparison. However, because Maris had her off screen exploits and quirks built up so much, they realised that no matter who played her, it wouldn’t reach viewer expectations. Instead, and wisely, she was kept off screen and left to the viewer’s imagination.

iAre there any original ideas in TV and movies anymore? I seriously ask because anything I ever see about a movie or tv show is based on something from years past. I saw a great quote recently which is "Nostalgia kicks in when the future seems to have nothing good to offer" and it must be sad but true because I haven't seen anything as far as the future of TV or movies goes that has anything good to offer.

I'm glad there will be no Roz for Frasier to make misogynist jokes about.

I'm glad there will be no Roz for Frasier to make misogynist jokes about. I miss Jane Leeves. I liked Hot in Cleveland, where Betty White....made misogynistic jokes about her.
