All I know is the longer this goes on, the harder it'll be to give the dude enough satisfying comeuppance. Simply losing one match to lose the belt probably won't be enough, at this point, The Bloodline probably needs to start losing so much that it makes Barry Horowitz look like Goldberg and end up left homeless and unemployed or some shit.
And the fact that it’ll probably most likely be to Drew McIntyre, who, I mean, nothing wrong with the dude, he’s over and he’s plenty talented and all, but you’re gonna get a lot of people being like “HE’S HAD HIS TURN WITH THE BELT ALREADY, DO SOMEONE ELSE”, and that won’t help.

Can't let the faces win even when they win. Brilliant. Love that writing, great material. What was that old saying....Ah yes, this is such good shit.

Better Drew than Brock. Also Drew never really had his moment with the crowd. I think both title reigns we re audienceless

At this point Roman needs to get run out of town tied to a train, no comeuppance is going to be satisfying after how he's run roughshod over the show.

After tonight I want Woods to be the one to Dethrone Reigns

An entire Smackdown where all the faces, plus the referees, commentators, and ring crew just kick his ass. Basically, the reverse of Antonio Inoki slapping everyone.

I don't mean to make this a WWE vs AEW thing but it clearly feels like everything is going to fall apart for Kenny Omega over the next month and even he hasn't been as overpowered as Roman; he's going to lose the title to Hangman, the Bucks & Cole are going to betray him and he's made enemies with everyone on the AEW roster so he's not going to have anyone unless Hangman takes pity on him. You just don't have a feeling that Roman is going to get his any time soon and even if he does, it's not going to feel satisfying.

I feel like "Proportionate retribution" has been a problem for WWE much longer than just in recent years. Randy Savage and Jake Roberts in 1991... Roberts ruins his wedding reception, sics a venomous snake on him and lays hands on Miss Elizabeth, what does Savage get to do in revenge? Beat him in a couple of regular matches. That's it. Trish Stratus in 2001, one of the most humiliating and embarrassing segments in the history of the sport, so much so they actively try to retcon it out of existence to keep the heat off them for it 20 years later... In storyline, what is her revenge on Vince McMahon? The gambit with secretly getting Linda McMahon out of her sedation may sound impressive, but at the end of the day, it was just helping Shane McMahon win one match. And Vince was still on top at the end of the night anyway with the Steve Austin heel turn.
But then again, when they HAVE tried doing proportionate retribution, it just got weird. Rey Mysterio gets (presumably temporarily) blinded in one eye by Seth Rollins, so he wants to actively PERMANENTLY blind Rollins in one eye? And WWE SANCTION the stipulation?

Oh boy can't wait for misery booking (continue) to rule Smackdown.

I think the Mysterios teaming with Rollins at Survivor Series is finally giving Ricky Steamboat teaming with Macho Man and Snake Roberts in ‘87 a run for its money as the most inexplicably forgiven teammates.

At this point, Roman being marched Cersei Lannister style through the arena wouldn't really make a dent and any physical punishment he gets would just wrap back around into being weirdly sympathetic if you did it on a scale he deserves in-character.

I mean just look at the Elite vs. The Dark Order.... can you imagine the WWE doing literally any of that with Roman/the Bloodline? And it didn't hurt Omega at all to look like a fool for the one night... he's still the champion and no one acting in good faith has tried to argue that Omega came out of it looking like he's not still a serious threat.

I feel Rock is probably gonna be at SS to set up whatever they’re doing. They’re leaning pretty heavy on Rock suddenly on social media, so I’m guessing we’re being primed for something.

Oh worry not, Now I want someone to be the made man by beating Reigns (sooner than later) but I'll cheer loudly enough for all of Drew McIntyres title runs (should they happen) in the future to fill the whole forum! ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Part of me thinks that's a coincidence because, honestly, Rock/Reigns in Hollywood sells itself a lot more than Rock/Reigns in Texas, even if it's in the AT&T Stadium.

I read Roman beat Xavier to win his crown/title of King.
Makes perfect sense to have that entire tournment mean nothing, a perfect encapsulation of the product.

Looking up the actual results he didn't win... they pulled the Roman special of the Usos interference (only this time it was ruled a no contest... instead of a DQ win for Woods for reasons.) and the Usos stole Woods' crown... and put it on Roman. But... yeah...
