I think if you clearly build someone up as a hero that the crowd can view as a threat. Only person who I've ever thought made sense is Big E... or if they moved Drew to Smackdown in the summer him. Like on the nWo you had moments throughout where there were moments the faces got to get one over. Even during the Triple H reign of terror their were moments where the faces made Trips look bad. Those moments were few and far between but they still happened. You need that still for Roman. I think he plays his role well but you still need a moment where he shows some weakness I think they could have had Cesaro in that role too... unfortunately they've kinda completely cut him off at the knees after the Roman match. But yeah, how often did Vince look like a fool in the feud against Austin while still being the top heel of the company? Yeah, Vince wasn't the Bad ass destroyer but him and his corporate champions were punked out all the time by Austin. the heel has to look vulnerable at some point to tell an interesting story... you can have him win the matches hell you can have the set backs to make him angrier and more brutal in the actual matches... but Roman has not had anything that has even shaken his facade since Last year. It’s important to note that Vince did get some victories over Austin (having him fired, screwing him out of the 99 Rumble, etc.), but those were fleeting and often followed by Austin getting revenge (Bang 3:16, the St. Valentines Day Massacre cage match, and so on).

They did have that episode of Smackdown a month or two ago that ended with Cesaro laying him and Jey out with Neutralizers but it seems like they really don't want anyone getting the better of him in physical altercations.
Even in promos no one is getting the better of him. At least if Rock and or/Cena return and feud with him you know they'll test him on the mic. And 2021 heel Roman will be able to hold his own this time compared to 2017 when Cena destroyed him or 2015 when he looked like a scared little boy standing next to The Rock.

Has he insulted Rikishi yet?
Could he get a good match out of the big man?

Has he insulted Rikishi yet? Could he get a good match out of the big man? I feel like you could do it since it'd be a glorified story match, anyway, but I am not sure if Rikishi would agree to it. He's got kind of an ego, and such a match would necessitate Roman probably mauling him, even if I am sure they'd let him get some hope spots.

Still can't believe he wrecked both of them at Wrestlemania: How can we buy "Daniel Bryan" and "Edge" as credible threats, when they were piled up like steaming trash for the finish.

It's getting to the point where the only satisfying end for some is a feud where Roman's just outclassed and destroyed in every way by the guy who beats him.

Regardless of how I feel about his direction, I hope he humiliates Cena. “I’m still here cause you can’t do your job!” - 2017 “..so why are you here now John?” - hopefully Roman in 2021

There's honestly part of me that wonders if that's how this all ends. Somebody like Big E or Drew shows up and counters everything Roman has, that causes him to spiral out during the match and get beat clean. His gimmick seems to be delusional sports star, so it'd make sense for somebody to show up and put him down.

Yeah, I'm not as sick of Roman's reign as others, but him stacking both guys on top of each other and pinning them was too much for me. That's the kind of thing you have a monster character you're trying to get over do to a couple jobbers on Main Event.

I think it may have gone far enough now that people are saying that RAW is better than SmackDown now.

The longer this goes, the more I'm convinced it can only be Jey Uso who finally brings him down after fighting through Roman's conditioning.

I think it may have gone far enough now that people are saying that RAW is better than SmackDown now. Lashley being a vulnerable champion and not being super invincible like Roman is certainly helps.

Vince: “seems like a decent idea, but what if I told you that the way to go is for Brock Lesnar to be the one to take the title off of Roman thanks to Paul Heyman’s chicanery?”

Time for Undertaker to dye the hair and get in the ring to humble Roman.

Good news everyone! Roman finally suffered a setback, however minor it might be! Edge beat him and Jimmy Uso up!!

Please let Edge beat him at Money in the Bank. I doubt they will - guessing Seth and / or the Usos screw him over - but anything to get the belt off him at this point.

They absolutely have to have Edge not get beat down next week. They actually had Roman scared and while he still stupidly was standing at the end of Edge's beatdown (I don't know why they map these beatdowns out as three stage or so things where Roman's still always standing up no matter what when it ends), and if we're just back to "Roman beatdown LOL" then nothing's changed. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}I fully expect Edge to get beat down by Roman next week.
