Marvel is gong to do Squadron Supreme and there’s nothing anyone can do to convince me otherwise. Hiring Cavill as Hyperion would be such a damn troll move...haha.

....I mean, I know it's a step up in regards to the movie universe, but character wise you're gonna take a f***ing plummet from Superman and - believe me - Captain Britain and Hyperion are like Cthulhu-depth plunges in comparison.

He should just be Jimmy Woo’s coffee errand boy.

It might be a step down initially, but considering what Marvel did with the Guardians of the Galaxy, if they can do a Hyperion movie and a Squadron movie better than Man of Steel (which I enjoyed) and Justice League, it’d be the ultimate alpha maneuver. Whatever role Cavill lands, I’m sure he’ll do great with it though.

Forget Hyperion...lets really go for the best trolling and have him play. Hyperion is far more of a Superman pastiche. Since... he's part of the Squadron Supreme which is literally the Justice League.

Calling bullshit on this one. When Mahershala Ali reached out to Marvel the first we heard of it was the reveal that they were making Blade.
If Henry Cavill were reaching out to Marvel, he's not going to be asking around to see if anybody knows who he can contact, he's going straight to Feige himself, and Feige isn't letting a potential casting like that leak.

WGTC is an infamously shoddy website, so I'm very doubtful about this.
That said, for as obscure as Captain Britain is nowadays, Alan Moore's run with the character is where the designation of Earth-616 was first established for the mainline Marvel Comics universe.

Since... he's part of the Squadron Supreme which is literally the Justice League. They both are. Hyperion is only slightly more obvious. And there's at least half a dozen other Superman stand-ins at Marvel. Maybe he could grow a twirly moustache and be Count Nefaria.

I've seen this play out before I think...
Poor DC can't afford to pay Henry?
Encouraging him to take the big money contract but saying Marvel won't know how to use a Superman!
Henry screwed Henry!
Henry debuts not against Thor, but as the mechanic to the Ant Man's van.

The moment the Captain shows up in the MCU, the moment he stops being obscure.

The important question is that out of all of Marvel's Superman "tributes," who is the Dan Hibiki?
