Yes. Miz added very little to any of this besides a drawn out, show-long angle. There's nothing he's done to help build any hype for this. Have Lashley in the Chamber, he beats McIntyre almost immediately after he enters (ala, Cena in 2009), and then also kills Miz at the end of it to prove in one night he is now a true main event force (and also deal with the stupid MITB). After a dominant year, Drew finally meets his physical match, and has to regroup, while Lashley piles up bodies along the way. What's not to like about that? Lashley doesn't look any stronger for beating Miz, who may I remind you, his current gimmick is he totally sucks and can't win on his own. The biggest decimation of a world champ since Cena and Backlund tho So you have Cena, Backlund, and Miz... (but yes, it was at least a dominant win thankfully, one I wish was paired with stronger booking for the Miz if this was the road they wanted to down)

At least Backlund could fight the world champ to some form of stalemate, even though his win was dubious. Just thinking about it, I genuinely can't think of another world champion WWE has presented as weak as they did with this Miz reign.

Alberto Del Rio when he was made to look like a total bitch by Cena because he cashed in MITB and held the title 3 weeks before getting tapped out by Cena if I remember correctly

Huh. Saw this on the front page. Good for him, was always a Lashley fan. Hope they give him a good run.

Congrats to Bobby. This WWE Title win was a long time overdue.
When Bobby first was in WWE, I didn't like him as I felt he was overpushed and his promos were kindergarten bad.
So what did Bobby do? Worked his ass off to get better, took advice from the right people, and found his swagger that could make it all come together perfectly.
I used to make fun of him on Impact Implosion and called him Franklin The Turtle, but he has long since proven that whole bit wrong.
Again, congrats to Lashley.

Can we also point out that WWE is doing a really good job with the black wrestlers on their roster right now? Obviously Lashley is champion and has been built up as a legit monster. You have Cedric and Shelton as tag champs. MVP has been a real MVP for the past year in WWE. Over on Smackdown, you have the Street Profits just off a big run as tag champs and they are still tops guys on Smackdown. You have Crews and BIg E getting a major feud that likely will culminate at Mania. And you have Bianca and Sasha who are about to be the first 2 black women to have a championship match at Mania and it could arguably be the main event one of the nights.

Sorry if this has been posted already: I’m so glad they dropped the dumbass Cedric turn angle. Also, I like them as faces. Let’s stay that way for a minute.

I had to go check this out on YT, and holy hell. Lashley straight up Goldberg'd Miz. That was fantastic.
I'm SO SO SO glad we're getting TNA "Walking Armageddon" Lashley in WWE. I never thought they'd do it. And for so long a lot of us have been saying, "no, really he was f***ing awesome at one point, if they only can do that again".
Another moment I wish would've been in front of a crowd. People love a legit badass who is booked like a badass.

What a long crazy path for Lashley. At times looked like a sure-fire thing, other times a punchline. But he kept at it and it all clicked.
Congrats to him, for sure.

Who'd have thought many of the "stars" of wwecw would be the big news in 2021. Maybe there's still hope for Big Zeke.
Weird as someone who hasn't watched more than a few clips lately. Did Raw Underground lead to this?
Maybe there's method in the madness. Nah.

What's the point of Miz, whose current gimmick is that he sucks, and everyone knows he sucks, getting the belt as a go between, when the most direct route would be the most effective? Because I don’t think that’s supposed to be Miz’s gimmick. It’s more like Honky Tonk Man, where he’ll lose a fair fight against the babyface in the end, but can still get the heat after cheating, can squash a jobber and can beat down other wrestlers (the dude is obviously no monster, but he was booked to kill Cena for a few weeks prior to Mania 27) and pin them with a SCF. Honky was able to get Hogan to sell heavily for him, I recall. Now *Ellsworth*, that felt more like a character who is meant to be mismatched in every fight. Same with Enzo to a degree.

Certainly been a long time coming but he has definitely deserved it over the last year. He’s at the level he should be at finally. Lashley v Drew had a pretty good match last year looking forward to see them do it again.

Man, Lashley looked genuinely emotional when he got that 3 count. What a moment.
MVP has been killing it since returning aswell. He's always been my favorite wrestler growing up but he's probably the best manager in the business right now. It's amazing how much credibility he's given Lashley since joining up with him. Although I loved the Lio Rush/Lashley duo, it was clear they were never gonna rely on Rush to carry main event feuds. MVP is capable of that cause he plays the shithead promoter gimmick so well.
Lashley vs Lesnar will be amazing for the MVP vs Heyman promos alone.
