trying to explain this as planned and part of a storyline involving a wrestler being inept at building explosives is only improving it, as if they get Onita in for a promo to pull that foolishness, its a shame for Mox and Omega that they had to put themselves through that only for the big conclusion to be Buff Bagwell's entrance

So basically how to explain this logically:
Step 1: Omega just flat out botched building the ring, and instead of killing Moxley it was a dud, that seems to be the direction they're going
Step 2: Why did Kingston sell it?: Panic Attack/Shock thinking he was going to literally blow up protecting his friend
Step 3: Leads to a Moxley/Kingston partnership, maybe with Butcher and Blade later? With Omega and Good Brothers, maybe someone else, Blood and Guts Match? Another way to write Moxley off.
It sucked in the moment, but you can do stuff with it, and laugh about it on the likes of BTE.

I would much rather there be a kayfabe explanation for it than Tony coming out and explaining how a bunch of tech guys wired an explosion incorrectly. Things go wrong sometimes. Just roll with it.

He'd be much better admitting it was a botch than this weird "what did you want us to do, kill them?" stance By all means change the story now but "it was a dud all along" is just complete horseshit. *Drinks coffee* Mmmm. That's some good corporate speak. Don't make sense to admit you can't blow guys up. Duh. No one was expecting a real explosion but what you did had to be a botch for sure when your in ring explosions were looking majority of the match

That's that side of wanting to clue the fans in on things he does sometimes It works but in this instance, the fans are willing to roll with the punches if you give them something to roll with

Anyone could have done it, Omega canonically built it to try and take Mox out Dude's out of his damn mind, so it failed... if it woulda worked, same thing, dude's out of his damn mind!

He was willing to blow up some poor bastard, win, lose or draw.

I don't think anyone was excepting them to blow anyone up, just something better than that. Hell, Hangman Page's intro has a stronger kick than that.

That was the funniest shit I’ve ever seen. Good luck trying to play that off. They’re never gonna live that shit down.

Nobody was expecting dudes to actually blow up.
And if the thing was supposed to be a dud, don't have your announcers do that 'Owen Hart' serious voice thing like guys actually exploded.

I dont think it was supposed to be a dud unless someone has gone on record saying that? I just think Khan was trying to lighten the mood anyway, I feel like people are too mad, he knows it was a goof in the end but they wanna make it work.

What I look like trying blow up Jon Moxley in a barbwire death match, I got more common sense than that Yeah, I remember trying blow up Jon Moxley in a barbwire death match

I honestly don't want them to try explaining anything. And, honestly, the Omega made it that way on purpose excuse doesn't really make sense because why would he still have big explosions during the match itself still?
What I'd do is open Dynamite with the final 10 seconds of the countdown and then when it reaches 1, the video pauses and the announcers say that what followed was so shocking that the network isn't allowing it to air.

If WWE can survive having someone legitimately die on PPV then AEW can survive a botch finish. You guys are taking this way to seriously.
