I mean if we comparing this to other cinematic matches, it was better than Edwards/Calihan but it was middle of the road Commentary ruined it for me and the pacing was slow but Darby came out looking like an MVP I saw Sting like a 60 year old man, man-handle Brian Cage. Yeah ok. At least taker sold being old with AJ. He was weezing and stuff like he was dying. It wasn't really a match tho it was a fast paced fight I get it, Cage should broke Sting like a twig but entertainment wise it was okay. It was meant to be a brawl and for as much as Sting did, a good majority was kicking and punching

They needed a spatula to get him off the mat.

I feel like they're way too different to compare but I can't say I disagree, cause I don't remember Sting vs. HHH feeling That long.

[br It was a career ending botch A career ending “botch” (not even really a botch, more like a predictable consequence of a dude in his late fifties having a physical match like that) that totally happened in a match. What are you even arguing at this point? The Rollins match was a wrestling match that occurred. I guess I just want to say WWE utilized Sting better than AEW at this point. And I love AEW. Stings WWE run Gets crapped on so much.

I mean neither two of these are as good as the match where Vampiro set Sting on fire and threw him off the Turnertron

Yea, in no way shape or form should Sting be able to beat up guys half his age without a weapon This was a fight on adrenaline and they weren't throwing Sting around like a ragdoll and he kept fighting

It was pissing me off Like when you do a cinematic match like that, you let the wrestlers do the talking. Why is Taz out here on commentary talking for his team. I want to hear Cage and Starks talk shit to Sting and that added bit of personality could went a long way This was just a brawl for a sake of a brawl but it didn't feel as personal as it could have.

I fully expect them to release this match on YouTube with no commentary
Edit: the street fight, not the iconic Sting/HHH match

The fact that you enjoyed it just goes to show that wrestling is not an objective thing...some people like what others hated and vice versa.

Because they had the nwo help him. Because HHH had him shake hands yadda yadda speaking of NWO helping Sting, is Kingston helping moxley much different? So what if long time rivals turn to alliances?

I enjoyed the cinematic match and how it was filmed.
Darby on that skateboard was a sick visual.

No, it’s more because they brought him in, used him as just another guy, completely failed to deliver the Undertaker match everyone was clamoring for, and then proceeded to do nothing at all to give him even a semblance of a send off. And, yeah, Moxley and Kingston is going to be way different in most people’s’ eyes. Moxley and Kingston were old friends who became enemies over jealousy. The NWO was Sting’s sworn enemy for multiple years. It’d have been more similar if, like, Luger came down to aid Sting at Mania. Hogan and Sting were NEVER allies.

And I'll agree that wwe screwed up on not giving us anything with Sting and taker but they didn't treat Sting as just any other guy by a long shot. Instant match at mania? Title shot with Rollins? (Which doesn't count as a match btw)

It’s mind boggling you’re acting like it doesn’t.
