Some of these look like they should just be on Regular Dark Yeah, Elevation looks redundant at the moment.

I hate to be a wet blanket but this seems like another version of Dark to me. Not that there is anything wrong with that, however, I already watch 12 - 15 hours of Wrestling weekly: Dynamite, Dark, NXT (sometimes), Impact, New Japan, and several Indies (bi-weekly in a couple of cases) I follow. I'll give the first episode or two a chance but unless they make this feel special and different from Dark I don't think I'll follow it long-term. It is, and it raises the question of whether Dark is going to be drained of some of its stronger matches. I'd say that aside from the Hardy, Inc. tag, this looks like, well, the half of Dark that I most look forward to each week.

For what it's worth, DARK has maintained pretty consistent viewership since they started expanding the match cards. Obviously there is likely going to be a breaking point, but we won't really know what the plan is until we see the Tuesday DARK card.

I must admit this seems like a waste of Big Show. I'd feel differently if this was a broadcast show rather than a web show or if the format was different than the already excellent Dark. Hopefully, I'll be proven wrong.

Those are just straight-up normal Dark matches. Again, really raises questions as to what Dark proper looks like this week - is this just about having everyone wrestle more than once a week?

There are a lot of matches this week but it's also the debut show, so they might just want as many eyes on the product as possible
This is also the show they said they want to focus more on development of stars, so maybe we'll get more promos before and after the match from certain talents
And as said, we kinda have to see how DARK looks this week too, we're assuming Elevation and DARK are just gonna be the same but Elevation might be absorbing some of DARK's matchups.

You don't sign a talent with the name recognition of the Big Show to make him an announcer on a web-based clone of your B-Show. That's bad booking 101.

They signed him to try him out at commentary and get people interested in the show. He has no storylines yet, he isn't working yet. It's also Big Show and it'd probably be better to ease him into the product. He's a veteran hand that's gonna be doing multiple things for the product, it's way more than what WWE was gonna do with him, which was nothing.

Elevation is clashing with Raw. Just doin' my usual on the women's matches: Ray Lyn's another Mission Pro wrestler. Solid if unremarkable? She was the opponent Lady Frost wrestled in the non-mixed matches I was able to find of her a few months back, and they played well off each other. Between Leila Grey and Ray Lyn showing up here, and Nyla Rose, KiLynn King, and Leyla Hirsch showing up at Mission Pro, I think it's about as official as it gets that Mission Pro is being used as a pseudo-developmental promotion.

Even if Show's asking price is low (which I doubt) there is no return on this investment unless the series he commentates is of great importance. I'm going to ask you a question - Is there anything you are willing to criticize AEW for? You've consistently defended them, at times alone, from every bit of criticism they've received on this forum.

He will also help backstage(like Christian) and after what happened on Revolution, they can help them to prevent stuff like the botched pyro to happen. Maybe u know, to teach them to call audiable when its really needed?(That has been an issue in AEW that people have overlooked).

I mean...I'd rather someone like Show be an occasional attraction and be used in a way to put over newer talent and enhance the skills he wants to grow on (commentary, helping backstage) then just have him as a guy whose occasionally there like his last few years in WWE were.
The fact WWE didn't use him for commentary makes it even weirder, to be honest.

I'm going to ask you a question - Is there anything you are willing to criticize AEW for? You've consistently defended them, at times alone, from every bit of criticism they've received on this forum. I have criticized AEW before, I just think some of the things like this that they get criticized for are completely overblown Big Show's doing way more for the company than commentary, but it's what he will be doing first for Elevation, and that's what was advertised from the start. He will also be working backstage, doing various things, and then will eventually be working in the ring again which he has said himself, but it's not going to be straight away. Doing commentary is a dream job of his, he stated as such, so him getting a show where he can call like 12 matches in his first outing with Tony Shiavonie is a big deal to see if he can sink or swim in doing it. Forgive me if I don't want to call something immediately a failure with AEW when they have constantly proven they know what they're doing long term, and have paid off a ton of things people have been harsh on in the beginning. Big Show calling matches to me seems like a really low pole to be upset about, but if you think it's a waste it's your opinion and that's fine? I just like giving how I see it, sorry it's not negative lol.

The fact WWE didn't use him for commentary makes it even weirder, to be honest. It's the fact WWE weren't going to use him for anything period. They're also making NXT EVOLVE and could have put him there, or anywhere since they have so many shows that he can commentate for but Vince/WWE basically didn't see any use for him at all and AEW had a few spaces he could fill, commentator, occassional worker/attraction, big time veteran presence backstage He's worth much more in AEW and he's probably going to give a ton of invaluable advice to their big men and how to work, he said that's also one of his big goals

I was kinda excited for this... but now it just feels like their splitting Dark into two shows. I already dont care to watch dark. I'll probably watch the main event while i'm hanging out in the raw thread.

I'll probably watch the main event while i'm hanging out in the raw thread. With the way the card just keeps growing, it feels less like a split and more like a duplication - at least in terms of card. I have no idea how to evaluated it until 1. it's past the first week, and 2. we see what Dark looks like now.
