With some of the tweets today and the Fightful report I’m reconsidering my “he won’t be fired” position...

I just feel, I could be wrong, but WWE feels the people upset about what Wuertz did are the same people who complain about Raw booking every week. Who cares what they think?
It's a business. Hate to get political, but his philosophy helps right wing politicians get elected. Those right wing politicians have been given hundreds of millions of dollars by the McMahons, and in turn those politicians have cut the McMahon's taxes, helped them declare WWE an essential business during a pandemic, and protected them from anti-trust laws.
Raw booking helped McMahon make a billion dollars, who cares what people on the internet think? Someone spouting QAnon ideology also helps the McMahons save a billion in taxes and protects them from lawsuits. I mean the Supreme Court, stacked by Linda McMahon's boss for the last four years, just turned away a case that could have been devastating financially and PR wise for the WWE, THIS WEEK. QAnon helps the McMahons in the long run, why would they care what he says? He will only get fired if the story becomes bigger, but if it fizzles like last time, it's only good for a few pages on a wrestling forum and a few likes on twitter.

If he’s that concerned about children’s welfare, he should probably do some digging into the NXT locker room.

What Drake's believing isn't political, it's f***ing insane. It is not political and it isn't a defense for keeping somebody hired. It's got the veneer because of the pigf*** way people get and talk about information. It isn't. This is a dangerous piece of shit human who needs a lot of help he wont get in this situation, and he clearly desperately needs it.
'Business' justifies and explains nothing either. If Business justifies anything, then we're using Business as a by-word for 'we are f***ing insane/racist/dont give a shit about people', and reading about business every time WWE does somef***ing f***ING STUPID AGAIN AND AGAIN is like having your soul slowly eaten. If it's business, why the f*** is nobody concerned about this being the way business is just allowed to operate? like is this just it? "yeah sorry we have a f***ing lunatic working for us yeah, yeah errr believes in a secretg cabal of spine eating paedophiles yeah yeah ran by, let's see, Tom Hanks? anyway yeah here's the quarterly reports"

Dude is straight up a bad person. There used to be an argument that he was just radicalized and it's a tragic story blah blah blah. Not any more. He's bad through and through. I honestly don't know what happened. In CZW and the indies he was the sweetest guy with a great reputation and I never had a bad interaction with him. What the he happened. Or has he been hiding in plain sight. This transformation is equal parts baffling and devastating for me because a lot of my wrestling friends knew the Drake before he turned into this hideous ****bag

Bed thought/theory I read on Twitter: They don’t want to straight-out fire him for this stuff because it opens them up to an unfair dismissal lawsuit on the grounds of being fired for one’s “political beliefs” (him being a referee makes the whole “independent contractor or employee” thing murky because we don’t know how that applies to referees). Discuss. They've fired people for getting pregnant(Dawn Marie), they've fired people who've made complaints about the behaviour of management through the proper channels (The slew of developmental talent hung out to dry by the non investigation into Bill DeMott), they've fired people for using a tie as a weapon on TV (Daniel Bryan), they've depushed, mocked, punished and fired people for taking them up on drug rehab (Chris Masters), fired people for planning to unionise (Jesse Ventura)... The WWE don't care about the legality or optics when it comes to firing people, the corona cuts stand as a testament to that. If they wanted Wuertz gone, he wouldn't be there, they'd find some justification or just shrug and point at the things we can't talk about Linda has been up to and where Vince's money goes, and what AJ has been up to.

Yeah pretty much this. Some mutual acquaintances feel that he immersed himself in the QAanon stuff during the pandemic. It is said though because he was such a nice guy too, and while he was always proud in being a hick from Naptown he was never full into this world.

Discuss. It depends on the state he was hired in. If he got hired in a so-called "Right To Work" state (and I think Florida is, but Connecticut isn't), then I think they can fire him for pretty much any reason.

So this tool was actually a better person when he was a drug addict? Go figure.

Even if they were worried about blowback from firing him, if they really wanted him gone he could've easily been part of the releases a couple of weeks ago. He's still around for the same reason Ryker's the one Forgotten Son left standing, they do not care.

Coincidentally, today WWE brought out its Community Impact Report, going into things WWE did for charity and such and, interestingly, none of Wuertz' "charity auctions" the past year were mentioned.
I wonder why that might have been? It's a mystery.

That's what investors want. Investors want that frothy bile by the gallon and if they don't get it people will be literally skinned alive. Every action taken is only the reasonable, righteous step that society says people should take, and it is simply above reproach. Even though if your moral compass worked right only half the time and the other half it told you to f*** dogs, you'd still realize that this shit is layers on layers of insane to the point where people have become so numb to it that when people criticize them over working with murderous regimes people have the gall to say "You don't actually care about a social issue you're just mad about Roman Reigns's push. This is the real world, stop wearing diapers" at least in part because things have become so bad and the shit has piled so high that people have just learned to stop smelling it and don't get anymore why some people are plugging their nose. There's no mountain of shit. There's just business.
