I imagined my Newark show would be rescheduled too. I think most touring will start up again in September of this year, with the more brazen people touring in the summer.
Just checked. Newark is September 15.

The Boston Dynamite will probably now be a 9/11 20th anniversary tribute show now

I’ve had tickets for Boston and Rochester on my phone for over a year. I’m trying to be realistically optimistic about these September dates.

For all the people refusing to take the vaccine and the possibility of new variants arising all the time this seems super overly optimistic to me, though I guess it beats Dana's, "F*** it, let's kill people now!" plan.

The trends going now are very positive, but the Spring and Summer are going to be very crucial in both vaccine rollout, and variant possibilities springing up/being a problem
I mean AEW cancelling the events again if there's still more to go through by September is probably simple enough, but it doesn't hurt to be optimistic about being able to run shows again with how things are going. Just gotta be positive that the recent trends continue.

Considering there's only 11% of the country vaccinated, yeah seems a bit optimistic. Though seeing as they are releasing more for the general public by May, possibly that number drastically increases. Though, like many other companies I follow, that reschedule might just be written in pencil anyways.

Yeah, I'd say a lot of this is legality that they have to still have a date with the venue themselves just like how over here there are concerts and performances being arranged for September 2021 to June 2022 depending on what they can arrange even though our vaccine system has barely gone above 1% if that.

Looks like crowds will be back for AEW soon? They wouldn't announce touring again if they didn't think they would have at least half capacity of stadiums by September. Some states like Philly are already looking at 25 percent indoors by April.

The hard part about capacity limits with these shows is tickets are already sold and shows like Rochester were nearly sold out. The only way it can happen as it stands right now is if these venues can be at full capacity by September. There really isn’t too much wiggle room to spread people out, even if they changed the set a bit.
The only other option would be limiting the capacity, refunding everyone and asking people to buy new tickets.

It's hard to know how the world will look like in September but this is the first time since they've started rescheduling these shows that I felt like it might happen. If companies across the sporting world can start doing some sort of vaccine verification system, this could work in some capacity.

Though, like many other companies I follow, that reschedule might just be written in pencil anyways. Around 22% have already received at least one dose of the vaccine, and it’s only March. If being vaccinated will get us back to normal, I don’t think September is crazy at all.
