Man...it's like...I want to buy that shirt to support that match because it was so awesome, but that shirt's one that would be a bit tough to wear out in public. It kinda looks like an Album Cover... I think that's what they were going for too Oh yeah I agree, it's badass. I don't mean to disparage the shirt. It's just, "woman bleeding profusely" is not one that I could personally wear as anything other than a PJ shirt.

What more can even be said? That’s a 70s Wrestling magazine cover. Just so beautiful, brutal and violent all in one.

I'm seeing a lot of, "I never liked Britt Baker but tonight I get it," on Twitter at the moment. Really feels like a star-making night for her. I think a lot of people were sold on Baker's improvement, but now Baker has THAT match where people can refer to it and be like "Oh yeah, that girl is a legit star" She will be world champion sooner rather than later. She might be the next one in line frankly after that, if it ain't her then Rosa, both are fine choices...

It kicked ass, and I hope TK backs up a dump truck to Thunder Rosa's house that's full of cash, because she and Shida (with Britt actually coming close herself, imagine saying THAT a year and a half ago) are the bedrock that you can build the whole damned division around. She's got a unique look, she can absolutely go, and she knows her character inside and out. Heel, babyface, she's going to deliver you the goods.

WWE had great women's matches before Sasha vs. Bayley at the Brooklyn Takeover. But that's the match that solidified the division as one to watch.
AEW has had some great women's matches, but tonight... I feel like Rosa vs. Britt is the match that solidifies the division.
Question though, is Rosa still primarily contracted to NWA? I know with Serena Deeb signed to AEW but current NWA Champion, it may be a trade deal, but honestly... Rosa needs to be locked down to AEW. Not saying she can't work where she wants, but I really feel she's been a major spark to elevate the entire women's division in AEW and after a performance like tonight's, AEW needs to be her home base cuz they certainly need her.

Yeah she's contracted till later in the year, but looking at how things are going, Rosa's gonna fulfill obligations in NWA and AEW's gonna back a bank truck to her house and be like "Let's ride". She fights Kamille at Back for the Attack for the number one contenders spot of the NWA Women's title btw.

Bloody Britt is absolutely her version of that awesome image of bloodied Becky Lynch.

Bloody Britt is absolutely her version of that awesome image of bloodied Becky Lynch. Bloody Britt is that rare "switch" moments some wrestlers have that I just LOVE. Goes right along with Terminator Ibushi and Pissed Off (kendo wielding) Charlotte.

At bare minimum, AEW is seemingly doing everything they can to convince Rosa that they're the best place for her. She's stated that she would want certain concessions from anywhere that she signed...and they're all concessions that AEW has already made for multiple roster members. AEW has been filling up Dark with wrestlers who work for her and train with her. Rosa's next indy show has Leyla Hirsch, KiLynn King, and Nyla freaking Rose booked - Big Swole's even an "official" roster member (however meaningful that is on an indy's roster page). And now they've given her a huge win over their top star in their first women's main event, in a match that at least tried to change the game of women's wrestling in the US (and may well, we will see). If Tony Khan hasn't convinced Rosa to sign, you can't say he didn't try.

Star solidifying performance by Britt. Crazy how her improvement started after her nose got broken a year ago and her being bloody as hell caps off that improvement. It's ironic in that a lot of her early shakiness was due to Bea Priestley handing Britt her first significant injury in her wrestling career, which destroyed her confidence and shook her up. The heel turn, plus then getting hurt again and getting such a strong reaction for her bloodied performance after having pushed through it and worrying people would be mocking her, did a lot to recharge her. That, plus, obviously, she's picked up more experience and works around such a glut of veterans. She's really risen to the occasion. Thunder Rosa, too, has developed so much presence. I remember her being nowhere near this good in Lucha Underground, and now, she has earned a badass persona in a big way.

That match was badass. Both women brought it and it should be remembered for quite some time. The staggering amount of improvement from Britt in just one year’s time is amazing. Also, Thunder Rosa needs to be signed by AEW full time immediately after her deal with NWA is up.

Britt, from her indy work, was absolutely a top prospect, but then had such a bad first quarter that she had to dig her way up out of a crater. Rosa was a mediocre-to-average wrestler who just suddenly had the right combination of a foreign tour, some new training, some good booking, and a star-making match to turn into the hottest prospect in US women's wrestling. Right now, these two are obvious main eventers, but predicting that even two years out would have been impossible.

I haven't seen a deathmatch that brutal in years I honestly couldn't tell if Britt bladed or just got busted open hardway...it's always good when wrestling makes you suspend your disbelief like that in 2021.

My fiancee and I think she bladed, then mixed it with water to make it flow a little faster. (Unsure about that latter part, but the color seemed a little off to be forehead blood.) She and Rosa also seemed to cut very close to their hairlines, which is probably a smart measure to reduce visible scarring that shows up in HD.
