At bare minimum, AEW is seemingly doing everything they can to convince Rosa that they're the best place for her. She's stated that she would want certain concessions from anywhere that she signed...and they're all concessions that AEW has already made for multiple roster members. AEW has been filling up Dark with wrestlers who work for her and train with her. Rosa's next indy show has Leyla Hirsch, KiLynn King, and Nyla freaking Rose booked - Big Swole's even an "official" roster member (however meaningful that is on an indy's roster page). And now they've given her a huge win over their top star in their first women's main event, in a match that at least tried to change the game of women's wrestling in the US (and may well, we will see). If Tony Khan hasn't convinced Rosa to sign, you can't say he didn't try. Thunder Rosa and Tony Khan absolutely have a handshake agreement that she's signing with AEW after her contract with NWA expires I could buy that, but I also don't know if she wants to be full-time anywhere at this time, she seems to really savor her freedom.

The other side is that she wants to be paid what she's worth. That may be the difference maker.

I asked my wife and she said I can buy the shirt and hide it in the closet and wear it to shows.

Match of the year.
I’d go as far as saying maybe the best match in AEW’s history.

That may be the difference maker. Part of the sales pitch for AEW is that she can keep running her school/doing her own independent ventures even under AEW contract. And she can likely work elsewhere like a lot of talent did, especially once the pandemic is behind us. She also has a great place for her students to work and get name recognition. Ultimately it could all come down to money but AEW offers a lot that she's said she wanted. And at this point given the state of the NWA and who've they've had to cut loose, I doubt they could afford her when her contract ends.

We all know how good Thunder Rosa is.
However, this was Britt Baker’s coming out party. She looked like a superstar in defeat

There’s really no way Rosa doesn’t have long term plans with AEW, whether she signs “full-time” or not, in my opinion. She’s already more or less a featured performer in AEW and has gotten huge wins that other truly temporary people just haven’t really gotten.

She looked like a superstar in defeat Yeah, they've done a great job in that she's someone who, especially after this, she can afford to lose to the stars but I can also see her beating women who are in the tier above her and I wouldn't cry foul. Like right now, I'd say Hikaru Shida obviously, Nyla Rose, Riho, and Thunder Rosa are probably the top women in terms of credibility, but Britt is not far behind at all now. Like, if the only people who you could call it any kind of an upset if she beat are former champions (well, and former NWA champion), that's some strong credibility.

Oh man I got this creeping into my top ten for the year, I knew Britt had star presence but that was the chops to back it up.

Man that was an awesome match. I kinda hope they don't face each other for a while because that match is a MOTY candidate

She still gets her freedom while working in AEW

Early contender for my MOTY and just about everything about it was excellent. Probably the best hardcore/"unsanctioned" match I've seen in AEW and one of the best I've seen, period. Rosa and Britt went to f***ing war. The brutality of the match only reinforced the storytelling of the pure hatred these two had for each other.
Britt absolutely brought her A-Game, too. I think with tonight, Rosa and especially Britt elevated themselves to true stardom. I'm glad it was this match that was the first women's main event for Dynamite because it's a match we won't soon forget. It wasn't a run-of-the-mill match or even a championship match. That was a true main event in every sense of the word. That could've main evented a PPV show.

Match of the year. I’d go as far as saying maybe the best match in AEW’s history. I still think that's Bucks vs Kenny/Hangman, which had the benefit of having the entire giant crowd in the palm of their hands... But if this ain't the best AEW Women's Match and a top fiver for people in the company I don't know what to say, it hit every box, and the fact it topped the ENTIRE GREAT WOMEN'S TOURNEY? AEW's Women's Division can have arguments about if their roster strength is better than Impact or NXT, but currently, they have to me had the best matches of any division so far this year.
