We've all on here seen hundreds of wrestlers in our time watching, but I have literally never seen someone who works like Angelico. They really should be making more of that. I do love that they put over at times that his particular style of submission wrestling is difficult for a lot of opponents to deal with since it's very different from the US or UK scene. They also sometimes put over that he's got those long limbs that just make it easier for him to slap submissions on with his reach. They could definitely lean into that a bit more.

Lucha Underground introduced me to Angelico and I've been a fan ever since. Dude's just way too good to be relegated to the background like he and Evans have.

I don't think I've ever heard him say a word. But in a fed full of people adept at flippy shit, dude is still insanely good at flippy shit. He absolutely deserves a place in AEW. If absolutely nothing else dude could be the JTTS of the JTTS, but if he can talk at all I think there's considerable potential beyond that. He cut some promos on BTE when everything was locked down. He was good, and his calm style contrasted nicely woth Jack's crazy-man talk.

Love Angelico. Think he’d be better as a singles than chained up to the heat-seeking Evans.

Yep, anyone who can manage to come across as unique (in a good way) these days should be pushed hard. That doesn't have to be a push to the top but at least as the kind of threat even top guys have to take special steps to overcome. Love that aew have a few people like that, especially in the women's division. It's entirely possible a future match could be Conti vs Abandon Vs Maki Vs Hersch, what a mix of in-ring styles that would be.

Love Angelico. Think he’d be better as a singles than chained up to the heat-seeking Evans. Splitting up Hybrid 2 wouldn't exactly be a total loss, but I do like them together. I don't think Evans is "heat-seeking" either but that's for another thread. Angelico's the younger of the two and gotten a ton of Dynamite Singles Matches so I'd say his upside in or out of the group is good.

Some guys have 'go away' heat, but Angelico, he has perfected 'I want to see this guy get beat up' heat. He is gloriously douchey, he comes off as a guy who knows how talented he is and you just want to boo him for that. His dancing though, is icing on the cake, you just want to hate him and love every minute of doing so.

AEW has Angelico and Jack Evans. AEW sort of has Ivelisse and Diamante.
Hm.............
